Palm Leaf shoulder bag?

Recommended Posts

I am considering these bags Palm Leaf Shoulder Bag : Unique Wedding Favors - Wedding Reception Favors - Bridal Shower Favors and was wondering if anyone knew if these bags sat flat on the floor or if they lean?

Odd question I know, but it makes a difference. In the pic it says it can fit a water bottle, but not sure if the water bottle sits flat.

Thanks,

Jennifer

I fell in love with this bag on sight and made up in my mind to buy them from the very beginning. I received 35 of them a week and a half ago and was very disappointed with the quality. I'm in the process of returning them. I think they aren't accurately represented on the website. They are much smaller than they appear on the website and not well made. I was suprised at how flimsy they are.

To answer your question, they don't sit flat on the floor and would need to be propped up.

I bought samples of the largest Lauhala bag from the Ailana.com site and they were faaaarrrrrrr superior in construction, they sit up on their own and they're only $3.50 a bag as opposed to the Palm Leaf Shoulder bag's $7.49. BTW, the handles are on the short side, so you can't comfortably hold them on your shoulder. Needless to say, I just bought 35 of the lauhala tote bag and am returning the Palm Leaf shoulder bags.

My digital camera isn't working or I'd post pictures, but someone else posted pictures of the bag in this thread on pg 11 if you'd like to see them.

Thank you for your response, the Ailana bag is the other one I was looking at. Which size did you get-approx 9"W x 7"H x 3"D) $2.50 (plain) or
(approx 12"W x 10"H x 4"D) $3.75 (plain)? I am trying to decide between the 3rd largest or the 4th one.

I got the larger one for $3.75. It's technically the same size as the palm leaf shoulder bag, but better constructed. I like that it ships flat, but can stand on its own.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
