Hmmmm... I'm so creatively challenged... but if you don't mind creating a bit more "seperation" what if you hung drapes of some sort over each side frfom the ceiling to create more of a cozy enclosed look around the fireplace? Not sure if i'm explaining what i mean very well... im tryingg haha

I think you may need a table or something to connect the fireplace to the wall. That way you're sort of dividing the room without closing off light and making it feel smaller. A narrow but long table that is the same width as the fireplace would be perfect. Then you could put some sort of table covering on it to close off the lower portion... Add some plants to the table also helps give some separation without closing off the space.

You know what, I have never seen a fireplace like this. I like it I wouldnt change it. Its a really nice focul point. Maybe dress up the walls around it a little more so the fireplace looks a little bit closer to everything and not by itself in the middle of everything. If that makes sense.

I tried that with the shelf off to the side, you can see that didn't work out so well. I like the half wall type thing idea, I just really like the flow between the two rooms. UGH this is so hard... I've changed the darn thing so many times and I'm still not happy with it.

what if you just add some plants, maybe even some that drape over the sides? or a small tree-type thing (real or fake) on one of the sides.

or how about some kind of curtain suspended from the ceiling, similar to what someone already suggested. awful drawing, but i am having fun! (wow, i really need to start working)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
