Las Caletas-November 24th

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm getting married in Las Caletas, too. I got Nicole's email and I wanted to check out the scene. Our website is Claudia Zajicek & Bryce Christo's Wedding Website - WedQuarters and I am constantly updating it. I'm sure I'll be borrowing pieces from your websites to make mine even flashier.

Are you guys doing the actual civil ceremony in Mexico or did you just decide to get married before you leave for Puerto Vallarta?

I also am looking for events to plan for the guests while we are in PV. We scouted the city out last year, but I could still use some more ideas to fill up the entire week. Since Nicole is taking care of the wedding, I feel like I should plan something. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum!!! Your website looks awesome, I used the same company to create mine, its marisaanderic.wedquarters.com if you want to check it out.

How many guests are you having? I would suggest planning a couple of group evengts but not one for everyday. People will most likely want to relax on some days and be on the beach or at the pool. You also dont want it to feel like summer camp. Hmm, some other ideas? Something I tohgught about doing but never planned was organizing Yoga on the beach. I figured it would be something relatively cheap and doesnt require blocking out a lot of the day. Anyother idea I toyed with was a scavenger hunt/bar hop but that would be really hard to create I think

Where are you having rehersal dinner and or brunch the morning after? I'm having a welcome breakfast at The River Cafe and a farewell brunch at La Palapa. Both resonibly priced and seem classy.

Welcome, Claudia! Marisa (marfa75) and Ali are both getting married at Las Caletas in January, and I am getting married in June. There are now a bunch of Las Caletas brides on here - so we should all be able to help eachother.

I don't have any events planned other than my welcome dinner the night before the wedding - many of my guests are coming in to PV the Wed. or Thurs before our Fri. wedding, so I really couldn't plan much. We'll see how many will be there the entire week before, like we will, and then see if anyone is interested in a group thing. I know that Vallarta Adventures offers 10% off of their excursions if you like that kind of thing - snorkling, scuba, dolphin stuff, etc. - I may do something like that one day.

Your website looks great - it looks like you already have some cool things lined up for guests.

I'd love to see some pictures of your ideas so far (I plan on doing a little "borrowing" as well!), since I haven't done much of that. And any other pictures you'd like to share - we're photo addicts here!

Welcome :)

We are doing a legal ceremony in CA the weekend before we head to P.V., which has taken on a life of its own. Looks like I'm having 2 weddings and 2 receptions now rofl.gif

It doesn't seem too difficult to do it legally in Mexico though.

We plan to have a welcome dinner the night before. Our guests ages and interest are so diverse that other than eating & drinking, it may be hard to please everyone.

I think we are having the bachelor & bachelorette parties (separately of course) in P.V. two nights before the wedding so that should be fun.

Other than that, we plan to say where we will be at given days and times and whoever wants to join us can, whoever wants to explore Vallarta on their own can do that too.

Happy planning!

Very cool website. May I ask how much it costs to create such a site? I just love all the details. Hope you don't mind me 'borrowing' some!!! By the way, I just emailed you since I saw your email on the website. Hope you don't mind!

Woohoo!!! Another Caletas bride. I am also getting married in CA, but having the spiritual ceremony in Las Caletas. We are not planning on sharing it with all of our guests (unless they ask). We are even debating going to Vegas for a night and doing a fun, secret one night wedding there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
