Hello, I tried a search and couldn't find this one... has any one used honeyfund.com to register for a honeymoon registry? We were not planning on registering but lots of our older relative who aren't going to make it to Mexico keep insisting on it so we've been looking in to a honeymoon registry since we've lived together for 5 years and have everything. Honeyfund looks pretty awesome-- no fees and really customizable. I wanted to know if any one has experience with them. Thanks!!

I am in the process of using them. I guess I would have to wait and see what our guests say. My shower is in a few weeks so I made up insterts for my MOH to put in the invites--kind of like those ones you get from most places you register. Not much I can tell you but check with me in 7 weeks! Oh and I would also suggest registering some place local so those people who are not internet savvy can just walk into a store and get you something. I just can't see my grandma using the service.

It sounds like more than myself will be happy to hear your review Stephanie, thanks! I really like the idea of it so I think I'll sign up too. I'll be sure to let every one know about the experience...

My mom actually used this for her wedding last year. She is not very internet savvy so I did all of it for her. Here are my thoughts and what other people thought:
+ It's very easy to set up. I'm not very creative and I was even able to make it look cute.
+ It's simple to track who gave what and when.
              - Although there is no fee to set it up, I had everyone send $ though paypal and they do charge a fee. It's not a lot , just a % of what they give, but still.
              - It's pretty much the same as people giving you cash... like you can fill out 'to be used for a candlelight dinner' but then the money is just given in a lump sum to you. Some people asked me 'well how do i know if they really used it on drinks by the pool' or whatever.
Basically it's just a creative way to get cash! Hope this helped a bit. Let me know if you have any other ?s.

i've looked at this site too. I think it's a great idea for people that already have everything. And I'd be much more happy to give a gift like an activity rather than some bath towels

It sounds cool and a little more creative than just receiving money.

It looks like a great idea. We were gonna set up a honneymoon registry when we were planning a local wedding...but now that it's a destination, I feel a bit weird setting up a honneymoon registry.
