Great thread! I'm not going off yet, but we're getting there. My mom had a hard time conceiving after the pill, so I hope its not genetic - lol.

After stopping, it should be about a month before you get your next period. That being said, your hormones will be off, so it may be sooner or later until your body regulates again.

I asked my gyn if I needed backup when I stopped taking the pill because I thought I needed to give my body a chance to release all of the hormones from years of pill use. But she said, no. She also said that it would probably take longer for me to get pregos than last time since I will be 36 when I plan on the next one. Last time I stopped taking the pill only because I wasn't able to get to the pharmacy and didn't think that I could get pregnant since I had been on the pill for over 7 years. My daughter is now 7...and healthy!

Any pharmacy, Walmart even. I love the GNC brand though. If you get a generic women's multi you will be fine, as they all have Folic Acid. My Dr told me that pre-natal vitamins are just a regular women's multi that has been repackaged and jacked up in price...

Great info ladies... As is gets closer to me going off of it I'm getting really nervous!! But, I keep thinking it could take a month or two or 12 months or more so I do want to start trying. I'm just getting a little scared I guess. One of my biggest fears is child birth. I was in the room when my nephew was born - maybe that has something to do with it... Anyway, just venting. Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
