Ok, this was just supposed to be a quick hello..ha. With about a year to go, my latest task has been trying to decide on a Resort...We've got about 50 guests most likely coming, and I'm pretty sure we're looking for something all inclusive, but since Raul's Catholic it has to have a chapel or be relatively close to one (Nuestra Señora Del Carmen, on 5th Ave in PDC or the amazing Chapel in Xcaret are on our minds).

I'm shooting for a price of under $1500 USD, including 6 nights and airfare from Vancouver, for my guests so it can't be too outrageously fancy, but of course we would love the best bang for our buck! Any ideas?

I know lots of you are getting married at Dreams, but I've been told there's at least 1 wedding each day there, and I want to feel special, not like I'm in a Vegas marriage factory...Am I completely off, or is this a valid concern for this Resort?

I'm really excited to be able to finally get this ball rolling, and I'm sure we will be able to help eachother out a lot with this daunting task.

I'm going dress shopping with my mum when I go home to vistit next week, so I'll make sure to take pictures to post once I find it!

Hi Emilie and welcome! Victoria is beautiful, my FI is from there and we love to go visit his family. As for your wedding, maybe you can have it in Cabo. You could have the ceremony at the Parish of San Jose del Cabo, its a beautiful Catholic church (that's where we're having our ceremony too) Cabomission.com - Welcome to the website of the Parish of San Jose del Cabo , and then you could do your reception somewhere else, for example Sunset da Mona Lisa :: Home Page :: Italian Seafood Restaurant with Arch view in Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico, Weddings, Events, Private Diners (former Da Giorgio) . That way your guests could stay at any hotels in the area, according to their own budgets. Goodluck with the planning!

I completely forgot about La tortuga...I had dismissed it at the beginning of the planning process because I thought I was looking for AI (just for the convenience of it) but after realizing that I would have to pay an arm and a leg even for a reception in one of those resorts, it's looking like a good option, isn't it! I've just requested more information from them...thanks for the reminder!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
