HELP!!! FI can't dance!!!

Recommended Posts

PS- the "crush and cuddle" isn't something you want to look back and see that you did on your wedding day.

But I will give you all professional advise that your FI WILL NOT no matter how close you are, want to take lessons from you, advice / be tricked into "practice". They will figure it out and usually feel less than adequate. Men hate to think that they can't do something and for themto hear it from the one they love- forget it, even though they would never admit it!

BUT - they will take the advice and learn from a stranger, you need a middle man, you stay the nice person and he learns something in the meantime!

FI doesnt have rhythm when it comes to formal "partner" dances either. He is a mess when it comes to Salsa, Merenge, or Bachata. I always end up sad for my feet (and music loving heart)!

In any case, we're not going to make our first dance a big production by going to lessons. I think the more you do that, the more fudged the end result comes out because of your nerves, excitement, or if one person hates to dance/cant dance to begin with!

We have just decided to choose a song that's extra special to us and wing it; be ourselves instead of counting steps...

We're not masters, but we dont really suck when dancing romantical songs either :)

Side note: I do want to do the practicing thing with candles & wine thing though! Great idea ladies! It would help with pulling off a spanish song at our wedding without walking away in a cast lol!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
