When did your WC contact you?

Recommended Posts

I am coming on up 3 and a half months until my wedding. I just emailed my WC because I would like to get a more detailed schedule on my wedding events. I know I asked for an evening wedding but I do not even know what time my wedding is goign to be at. Is this normal. When did your WC contact you girls?

Are you talking about the hotel coordinator? At this point you should be speaking fairly regularly. I was emailing back and forth with my outside coordinator during my entire wedding planning.

You'll need to know the time of your wedding for your invites. Not to freak you out but that should have been confirmed when you booked.

You haven't talked to her at all? You know, back when I was looking into Dreams PV as our location, their crappy WC told me that I shouldn't worry about anything because I had a year to get it all done. I was quite pissed at that. True, but there is nothing wrong with getting the crap done and out of the way so you don't have to stress the last 3 months!

Yeah, I got a welcome email with additional wedding information from my resort WC the week that I booked the wedding (made the deposit.) They also sent me confirmation of my wedding date and time. I definitely confirm things with your resort. You definitely should have heard from someone in the weddings department by now.

Ohhh ok. I thought that you hadn't heard from her or anyone at all! Ok, well it does seem odd that she's not responding to your messageshuh.gif I would keep pressing for a response then.

I don't rely on her to contact me, I contact her first. There are lots of other brides out there and I don't want to fall through the cracks! I would write one long e-mail with everything you want to know bulleted so she can give you specifics on each item not just a general, you're date is open, response.

So do you have your date/time confirmed? That is the only thing that you really MUST have at this point IMO - My WC set everything up in the very beginning and now is emailing me about last minute details - Don't freak out - that is the beauty of a DW! Almost everything is taken care of at the last minute anyways.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
