Hi ladies!! I'm good with Woodbrige, too!!!!

P.S. FI got a call last night after a big corporate meeting at work and found out he is being laid off as of today. I'm SOOOO very upset...what positively BAD timing this is. He works in IT, so if anyone hears of anything or knows anyone, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know?! I heard him tell his boss that he doesn't know how we're going to be able to afford this wedding, and it made my heart sink. He's not the type of person to just sit around until something comes up, so I know he'll get a job doing anything at all just to make sure we're okay financially, but I really did NOT expect this at all.

Christini - that sucks about your FI - I got laid off last year - it's a horrible feeling - i sent you a pm with my contact info - I'm a recruiter and i know a lot of IT recruiters - maybe one of them can help him.

I'm good for Woodbridge too.

I wanted to send you a formal Thank You on this thread as well, Michele!

I am so appreciative of the support and help ALL of you ladies provide. It's really an amazing place and I'm so grateful!

This is a tough spot to be put in, but knowing others have survived surely helps!

cristini - ugh!!! My thoughts and prayers go out to you both. It's amazing you both have each other to help you through it. So many people don't even have that. With that said, this economy is just hitting one person after another, it's like the dominoes effect! It couldn't be worse timing, you said it right. Again, just expressing my sympathies. I'm so sorry girl! I've been laid off for close to a year now and it's just now looking better. I do hope he finds something soon! IT's are needed! I see a lot of those positions on job boards!

I might be on the same boat with you soon as my FI is a plumber working on the new Giants Stadium and that job will be done in a couple of weeks. Always bad timing right! You know where to find me if you wanna chat!

Woodbridge could work for me. Looks like a couple of us could you a drink or two. lol

Oh no!! That sucks! I've been in and out of work for the last yr and planning the wedding has not been fun money wise. Plus we're building a house. We are on a tight budget! It's never good timing...Good luck to you and your FI with his job search.

Woodbridge is good with me too, I'm not too familiar with the area does anyone know of any good places to meet up??

There are a bunch of good places in Woodbridge and the surrounding area - it's all very easy to get to from the GSP, NJTP and 287

Jose Tejas (Mexican)

JJ Bitings (Brewery)

Champps (Sports bar)

Chris Michaels Steak house (Restaurant and Lounge)

Benihana (Japanese Steakhouse - Hibachi)

Cheesecake Factory

Fox & hound Pub & Grille

Macaroni Grille

Charlie Browns

And of Course TGI Fridays and Ruby Tuesdays and some very good diners.

Do any of these sound good?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
