I sorry to hear so many are having job issues. FI has been in school at umdnj for the last year and an half and works part-time at home depot (helps pays a couple of the small bills). He will graduate in a couple of weeks and then has to look for a job as a dental assistant hopefully his search doesnt take too long.

I love Jose Tejas! when ever we are in the woodbridge that's where we go so I havent ever been to the other places.

I love Jose Tejas too!

Do we want to do a daytime thing?

As far as job searching goes - I think the market is picking up - there are more jobs for recruiters lately, which means companies are hiring more.

i don't know much about dental assistants Dolfinluck, but make sure your FI utilizes UMDNJs career center - they probably have a great placement service.

P.S. FI got a call last night after a big corporate meeting at work and found out he is being laid off as of today. I'm SOOOO very upset...what positively BAD timing this is. He works in IT, so if anyone hears of anything or knows anyone, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know?! I heard him tell his boss that he doesn't know how we're going to be able to afford this wedding, and it made my heart sink. He's not the type of person to just sit around until something comes up, so I know he'll get a job doing anything at all just to make sure we're okay financially, but I really did NOT expect this at all.

Oh Cristine, that sucks! I'm sooo sorry to hear about this.. If I hear of anything I will let you know right away...

On June 12th, I have to work at 2PM... so lunch would work for me on that day. I have the 13th off all day.

Thanks Jerseykitten! he looked at the board posting today but nothing really close by but in the end you got to do what you got to do. So will see what happens

I think lunch might would out better if we go to Jose Tejas as they normally get packed for dinner on the weekends (at least from what i have seen in the past) and either day would be good for me.

Came on the forum real quick to see what my Jersey girls were up to :-)

Thank you all for keeping your eyes and ears open. I'm really hoping something opens up soon, and will be willing to let him have the time off so soon after he'd be starting. Blahhhh...

I'm on another arts & crafts kick this weekend, so I've been busy with my rhinestone hot-fix gun hehehe...Spend the afternoon in NYC at M&J Trimming so you KNOW I'm certainly keeping busy.

Such a gorgeous day out! I hope you all got to spend a little bit of it outside!

I'm definitely up for Jose Tejas. I've been there before on or around Cinco de Mayo for my stepfather's birthday, which is ON May 5th...soooo, yes, it's always been busy there when I went. Food was good! Couldn't try too many drinks because I was driving, but it will certainly be a great place to meet up!

You ladies are the best!! Thank you for your help and thoughts!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
