I'm originally from Somerset county but currently living in Hunterdon and FI is from Camden county so we go down to south jersey quite a bit. We started to look at having our wedding in NJ but quickly realize $20K doesn't get you very far. plus i couldn't justify spending that kind of money on something not even half way decent for just one day. so now we are spending 10K for 8 days in a beautiful setting.

Let's def plan a meet up!!!

Hey ladies! I love this thread! I miss home sooo much! Last May my FI company transferred him to Houston, so Im stuck here till next year. We were originally going to plan a wedding in Bergen Co or Morris Co because I wanted all our family to be there. Then my lovely parents decided they needed ALL thier friends and co workers there. Our guestlist was coming close to 200ppl! We quickly decided a Jersey wedding was not worth the 20k-30k we were about to spend. I love my family and Jersey is in my blood, but I cant see myself spending that much money! Mexico, here we come!!

I lived all over Jersey, Newark, Bayonne, Parsippany and Garfield...

Hey ladies! I am from Middlesex Cty... Old Bridge actually. How are you making out with the planninghuh.gif I always loved the beach and think it's so romantic to get married there. Both of my parents are deceased so I couldn't justify paying so $$$ for a wedding.

We should definitely plan a meet-up!

I got my dress from Cinderella Bridal in Matawan - i went for an Alfred Angelo trunk show but ended up with a Maggie Sottero!
Really, where abouts... I am closer to East Brunwick.

I purchased my dress from Hollywood Bridal in Kenilworth. They include the alterations as well.

I lived by Sayerville.

I must be the only person that didn't have alterations included! They charged me $160 to take my dress in and add the bustle!!!

Hello Eliana, Christine, and all you other beautiful Jersey Brides!

I finally found this thread! Lol

I got my dress at David's Bridal. Fell in love with the dress and the price!

How far along is everyone in the planning process. I feel like everytime I cross something off my list, something else appears. sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
