Anyone know of a good/ free FTP client (File Transfer Protocol)

    For those not familiar, this is something to make it fast to upload something (I want to do pictures) and easily transfer them to someone else. Not like shutterfly, etc. This is more for transfering the files, not sharing the pics.

    I know there are some more computer nerds out there than just me.

        Wow I haven't used an FTP client in years and years, but when I did I used to use winFTP

          FileZilla - The free FTP solution

          SmartFTP - FTP Client

            do people use something better now? I haven't used one in years either. Is there a better way to transfer gobs of files to someone over the internet?

              I only really used FTPs for music...and now I have Limewire & SoulSeek so I don't have any use for an FTP..I'm sure they're still used though!

                I too haven't used one in a while, but when I did I used WS_FTP by Ipswitch Network Monitoring, Secure File Transfer, & Messaging - Ipswitch.com

                Not sure it it's free or not anymore.

                  I've used YouSendIt - Send large files - transfer delivery - FTP Replacement in the past and works very well.
