So, what's bugging you today?

I'm in a snit. It's not a big deal, but I'm in a snit. So I thought I'd tell my story and you can tell yours. We can all vent for a bit, and in a week we can all laugh about it.

 

Dad is remarried. Step-mom has a daughter a few years older than I am. Step-sis has a family. I am not close to them. We share 1 meal per year (xmas time), and otherwise have no contact. Dad essentially stiff-armed me into inviting them to the wedding. FI said I should do it to keep the peace. Fine. Done. Whatever.

 

Today, I get an e-mail from Dad asking about the mechanism for FI and I to pay for the hotel and the kids' airfare for the Steps (which we're doing for family). Um. What? No. They are invited as guests. Not family. I respond to Dad's note reminding him that I didn't want to invite them in the first place and don't intend to cover any of their travel expenses. (Precisely: You consider them to be your family, and I respect that. You need to respect the fact that I don't consider them mine.)

 

Yup. In a snit. Just can't believe he'd even suggest it after we went around and around for 3 weeks about inviting them at all. Amazing.

I don't want to be here at this school today, so bored, not teaching but babysitting instead. what gets me is that I could be teaching if I was subbing for the the other teacher down the hall which I was doing a long term sub for but now I'm not

Oh man that sux...but I do like your reply and I agree. Hopefully it dont cause any drama, keep us informed.

 

Hm, today is actually going pretty smooth for me. I just wanna leave work. 20 minutes to go! Hmmm what can I vent about.....sory all is good today hahahaha ask me tomorrow...

I don't really have anything buggin me today. I worked out so the endorphons (sp) are flowing and i am happy. plus the sun is shining. don't worry, i am sure to have something annoying me by the end of the day or tomorrow.

I need to do my board report and I just can't get it done!! Ugh.

 

Also, my FI called me and said he was having dinner with a coworker and he didn't tell, but he swore he did. All he had to do this morning was say, "Hey, I am going out to dinner with Brian tonight to talk about the merger." I would have been fine with it. But no, he had to call me a few minutes ago and swear he already told me.

 

Okay, I feel better now.

I can't wait to find out if I will get the job I interviewed for and I know it'll be a couple of weeks before I find out. I can't stand it. Oh, and for some reason I'm just hungry today no matter what I eat!!!!!!!!!
