PV bar suggestion for fun get together before wedding?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any suggestions on a couple of bars in Puerto Vallarta? My fiance and I would both like to have separate men and women get togethers (kind of bachelor and bachelorette party) the wednesday before our wedding (may 17). It'll probably 30 or so people in each party so it'd need to be big enough to accomodate. Nothing too crazy just a cool pub and maybe some dancing. We wouldn't be going together so something that would appeal to a group of men and then also a group of women. ANY suggestions would be helpful. thanks! Oh and we are staying in the Marina if that helps narrow things down (doesn't mean we have to stay in the area but would be helpful). Gracias!!!

For the men, an easy going laid back place is the No Name Cafe (right on the malecon, down near (and between) where the old Hooters and Planet Hollywood USED to be), its like a sports bar, decent sized. I'm not 100% sure about the dancing part tho, I haven't been there at night. I'm thinking they do have it tho.

Great, thank you so much. I'll spread the word. Do you happen to know where the Zoo bar is?

Also right on the malecon, but more front and center, like closer to the McDonalds end, sort of.

A better idea on second thought for either men or gals is Carlos O'Brians. Very fun!

We went to the Z Tai Restaurant a couple nights while we were there. That place is really cool inside but not a rowdy dance club spot. We had fun sitting in there and having some drinks and then went to Carlos O'Brians (they have dancing), Zoo bar, and another bar in between the 2 that I can't remember the name of. It is newish and has a light up dance floor. They are all on the same couple blocks of the malecon.

I never go to PV without going to Zoo Bar. It is a must if you want to drink and dance to loud music, just a fun time with hot music. They have a cage you can dance in and drinks are 2x1 -very fun!

There is another club called Hilo a few doors down from the Zoo on the malecon. Also very fun and larger than the Zoo, a slightly more upscale and still really fun. Drinks are pretty cheap here too.

Nikki Beach is a very sexy and gorgeous club. It's on the beach with big beds and pillows, a little pricier than most spots but right in the marina at the Westin. IMO the setting is amazing.NIKKI BEACH

The No Name Cafe is a great sports bar to start with but like Dougsgirl says I don't think they have dancing.

Also google Christine's, De Santos, Collage. Have fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
