ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

The beach in front of the Royal is busy. But they do a good job of blocking it off JUST before the reception starts. The beginning part of your reception ( if you have it during daylight hrs at all there will be some people milling about). But once it gets dark its deserted.

Stephanie - The staff does a great job clearing the area. There is a Volleyball net right near that restaurant but they make sure its down and the pp are gone in time for your ceremony. Trust me - the staff at the Gran Porto/ The Royal are First Class - they really know what they are doing. :-)

Thanks so much!

Hi Adriana,I just got married in May and used the Royal's spa. You get a private room which is really large. I would recommend using their services. I do know that the resort charges a $100 vendor fee ( not sure if that would apply to makeup). They gave us free champagne in that room and it was so relaxing!! You can even lounge outside the rooms in the spa courtyard next to a mini pool with a fountain - its so peaceful!! The staff at the spa are really fast too - they did my hair and makeup in an hour!

If anyone is looking for a cheaper place to get nails done there is this tiny spa right next to the Gran Porto on Constitutional Ave. Its much cheaper and they do a great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just and FYI - the MAC store is WAAAY down 5th ave near the ferry to take to Cozmel. I wouldn't bother.
Just my 2 cents!
Thanks for information! i guess it is not really worth it if its way down 5th ave. sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
