I am REALLY wanting to do a TTD but it is so not in our budget! Can anyone recommend a photographer with a GREAT price (500 or less?)

Also, I'm not using that person for makeup. I'm using Adrienne from Waves.

Can't believe there's only 39 days left! (screaming)!!!!

Girl, I think if you really, really want to do it, you should :-). Tell FI i said so lol. You only live once, right?

Haha, welcome Mike! That's awesome that you're on here! Great ready for craziness!

Jess, you asked about shoes/walking up the aisle. It honestly depended on who was working! We went to Maria Maria's one night with just 4-6 of us and they made Kenny go put on closed toed shoes. Then the night of the rehearsal they didn't care about shorts or shoes (and remember, this wasn't even our "private" function, it was a free for all basically) so just smile and bat your lashes and slip on by.

I had my bridesmaids walk up with the groomsmen. Lili came and got Kenny from the room and walked him down and stood him in place, then the rest of us trucked down there, by dad and I bringing up the tail end. It's all preference. I say if you want it, go for it! wink.gif

I think you should def do it! I think that if you really want it and dont' wind up having it, you'll regret it.  Try Blue Lens.  They gave me an AWESOME price for the day of and the TTD session which also includes them picking us up the day after and fees into the caves.  If you email them talk to Enzo.

Hey MsGlave! I don't know how in the hell I managed to butcher the name of the salon, but I did mean Waves.  I have a client who's name is Ken, so I had way too much work on the brain, lol!  Please don't ask where the Paves part came in. smile105.gif  I completed the contact request on the salon's website, but I haven't heard back.  Can you PM me your contact person?

All Brides - Are you ladies doing a wedding video? If so, are any of you buying one of the resort packages? I was going to buy a camcorder and have a relative be in charge, at least that way, we get a video and we get to keep the camera for roughly the same cost.  Now I am reconsidering, due to quality concerns.  What does everyone think? Am I taking being a "budget bride" too far? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I've neglected to post on here, but I have tried to keep up with the topics!  My fiancee and I are getting married on November 30th, 2010 at RPDC (We should see Jenny310 and FutureMrsYak there!).  I just got a phone call from Elsa (who has been pretty good, maybe a bit disorganized at some points) asking if we had arranged a person to conduct our ceremony.  I definitely overlooked this aspect!  I thought it was included in our package!!!!!!!!! They will provided somebody for 400$ she said..

We are having a symbolic ceremony only, so can anyone recommend someone to hold the ceremony for us?!  Bah, 28 days to the wedding, EEEK!

MIKE.... Probably one of the few guys doing planning around here!

Thanks Nikki!! I told all the guys bring shoes in case :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
