do it! you won't be sorry!!! it's an inexpensive way to add a lot of flair and to help show your personality.

have you seen the sash exchange thread? past brides are giving away the sashes from their weddings. unfortunately, i didn't get any of my sashes (or other fabrics) back after my wedding (boo!) or i would've passed mine along to the next bride for sure!

That's a good call I will have to check that out. Save your for a dinner party :)

not sure i'll ever see mine again (still sitting around somewhere at the resorts, likely).

I emailed my WC Julie and she confirmed that they are closing the office Friday. She told me she put all my info together but wasn't sure if they would be sending the file to Mexico right away but that she made notes to be sure I would get everything that was discussed. I'm def going to have all my emails handy when I get there! She also told me my onsite WC will be Michel but she didn't know if I would be working with her from now or if I will be with someone else until my wedding was closer. Julie also said she just found out as well. I'm a little sad for them knowing that they will be losing their job; hopefully they have other things lined up.

 

Has anyone worked with Michel yet?

Thanks for the update. I feel extremely bad for the WC that are losing their jobs, and to only find out 2 days before its closing.

I emailed my WC with a question regarding something else. I wonder if she's even going to still help me now.

Lets keep our fingers crossed that this is for the good!

Those pictures are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to see Lady Di's review...she's been so on top of things and organized I can only imagine how thorough and helpful it will be!

I also emailed my WC, Rebekah (who has been great!) last night after reading the post. This is what she told me -

"It is true that this office is closing. But I am one of the wedding coordinators that will be helping to set up the new office. Please do not worry, we are doing everything we can to make the process seamless. We will probably know your new wedding coordinator by the end of June."

Hopefully everything will be for the best and will transition well. I agree that I'm definitely going to have all my emails from her on hand just for extra clarification though!

Yep, sad for the good coordinators who are losing their jobs. Understandable for the one who were rude and unresponsive.

Ladies,

 

I have still not purchased a dress lol. I know, I know! Yikes

I really want a Maggie Sottero chiffon dress, but the only one they carry around here is the Reese (think Lynnie's dress), and of course it was 2 sizes too small. Sigh.

 

I did find a Maggie that I liked but it was heavy.

 

That reminds me....

what are nights like in playa in November? Could i get away with wearing a heavier dress then (are the nights cool or warm?)

I emailed my WC about changing wedding packages and also asked her about the closure. Here is her response:

 

I heard that your office in Michigan will be closing and moving to Mexico? Yes we move because was too many complains fro this office, just few of us we move to Mexico this weekend =).

 

Will my file be transferred to someone new? You want to continue working with me or you want somebody else. I’m moving to Mexico.

 

Looks like some are being let go, some are helping set up and some are moving to Mexico.

 

Sucks for the good ones to be let go of though, especially in this economy, hopefully they picked up by another company soon and hopefully this transition will be smooth.

9. Is the online check in working again? Anyone know?
Any past brides still around? If you could answer some of my questions I would be greatful, I leave one week from today and I am a little panicked sad.gif
