So you are going now and then going back for your wedding in 2 months? Wow!! :)


I need to get my final stuff in and I am so frazzled!

So does anyone know- Can the Mexican Trio be used during the Cocktail hour or does it have to be during the reception?

Also, does the solo musican have to be duing the ceremony or can it be used during the reception?

Anyone have the Lux package which includes photo and video, are you going to still use this so it isn't wasted, even if you hired outside vendors?

We're using our Trio during the cocktail hour. Just let your WC know that's when you want them. Not sure on the solo musician.

I'm using the video portion of the package but not the photo part. I wanted my photographers pictures throughout the entire day plus I didn't want either one to interfere with each other. It totally sucks it's wasted money but what can you do!

We are using Nora Bohanon, who I actually found somewhere else and now she has a listing on this site! Shes awesome to work with, LIVES in Chicago and loves traveling to Cancun. Her prices were pretty great when we booked, so imagine they are still pretty good.

For a welcome party, we are just having everyone meet in the lobby bar around 6pm the first night for "drinks and hellos" then everyone can go have dinner on their own at all of the restaurants. We were going to do a private cocktail party, but they wanted $40 per PERSON, drinks only. These are all guests of the resort anyway. I tried to neg with them to get it down to 15-20 pp and it was a no-go, so informed them that 50 guests would be meeting in the lobby bar at that time and they may want to make sure they are staffed for it.

Awesome! That would work great! You get the Trio for 1 hour so it would be perfect to do during the cocktail hour and not have to worry about a playlist, plus it would be entertaining for the guests...

I have a video person too, I don't want to use either for the package because I am worried they will interfere with my "better" vendors, ugh.. I hate the wasted stuff! Like I don't think we are doing the face saver thing for FI either, I heard they suck and FI is scared they will cut him too! lol Oh well!



Just curious when people are opting to do their couples massages and mani-pedi and private beach dinners (if you have the lux package)... I am thinking the dinner after the wedding sometime during the week...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
