Well, it is just one of those things that you are supposed to do with anything that is worth a lot of money. If you are one of those unlucky people who gets randomly selected to be searched at customs and you don't have something proving that it was yours, then you will have to pay taxes, regardless of whether or not you wore it in, they don't know it, and you can't prove it. It's obnoxious. I travel a lot and I hate the hassel, so I don't wear my ring anymore when I travel.

Di- The wedding checklist you turn in with your payment 45 days out. The checklist I am working off of you start by listing your date etc and then select your package and then it breaks down into other catagories like, which minister, flowers, centerpieces, cake, photography, etc..

I don't know of any other checklists?

I don't think thats the one you turn in. It's the one is titled "Wedding Information Needed" when you open it up. I sent it to you a while ago. The file name is Luxury Wedding Checklist.

ok, thanks for the info. and i can certainly understand the hassle if you do get stopped.

personally, i think i'll risk it or maybe just take a picture of the receipt with my phone so i'll always have it with me if i need it. i definitely want to have my rings with me for my wedding/honeymoon!

Could you send me the luxury check list? My email is jessieb578@yahoo.com

Thanks!
Yikes, email her again! I sent you the checklist. I have her as my coordinator once Julie sends me off to her.

Has anyone experienced this? Do I have to repay deposit and all of that?!
I changed my date from 1/1/11 to November without having to pay. I did, however, write "ALREADY PAID" on the new contract where it mentions the deposit.

Will a copy of the purchase receipt suffice?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
