Our group is so small (so far) that I'm not doing any numbers.

I love the sex on the beach ;-)

Ladies, do you all have any guests who are nervous about the violence in Mexico? One of my BM (a very close cousin) told me she wasn't gonna make it because of the violence! I'm so pissed!
people are ALWAYS worried about the violence. we were in playa last spring and people thought we were insane for going. it was a complete non-issue! unless you have guests who will be driving through the border towns, they have nothing to worry about. it doesn't affect the resort towns.

I think I am doing luggage tags as a dual favor (well, one of them) and place card ...or maybe i'll put a note in it like "thanks for traveling far and wide to be here on our special day"

Hi Ladies,

1. Tables: We are doing local tequilas with a table number and a bit about the tequila

2. The violence issue is a non issue. One of the reasons I love Playa sooooo much is because I feel so safer. Just this past Nov when we were there we were out till 4am and walked around no problem. The people are so friendly. I honestly feel safer there than in New York City.

Hey girls, who has hired a photog? The obvious choices (according to this forum) seem to be Elizabeth Medina and Del Sol. Has anyone hired these two? Is anyone aware of their pricing - I would assume given their popularity, they are likely $$$. The costs seem to just keep adding up!

Has anyone hired someone besides the two aforementioned that may be a little more reasonable in pricing, but still take creative/artistic photos other than the usual group shots?

I'm using Ivan Luckie. He's really quick with his emails and in my opinion very reasonably priced. We're also using him to do a TTD session.

I am using Nathan Cordova. I could not afford either photographer and Nate is super cheap but takes the same quality/artistic photos.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
