I had my wedding shower yesterday! It was so much fun! It is definitely weird being on the other side after so many years of going to these things!
i think i'm going to be absolutely fine with whatever centerpiece they put together - nice that they make it to match!

ooh, fun - a shower! hope you had a good time and got a lot of good stuff!

i don't think i've mentioned on this forum at all, but i was married before, so with a second wedding, i don't get all the fun stuff like showers and all those good things. that's part of the reason for us keeping this so simple and small. we've both already done the big church wedding thing and now we just get to do a wedding just for us. simple, small, and perfect for just what we want to do! :)

I e-mailed Carole today, and recieved a response within hours! She says for now she will be my coordinator, but she is training someone in replace of Suzanna who will be working with me with Carole's supervison later on. She asked me to pick my package already to get it on file.

She also said the rooms rates for Real will be available later today!

Yes it is! Hopefully she is correct though! My wedding is 9 months away, I would like to get booking! Especially the way it sells out.

for any previous brides or those who have done site visits, do you have any suggestions (or even photos!?) of the food choices for the classic package? same as several other packages - see listing below (i just cut and pasted from the document).

              Menu
Classic Wedding · Classic Catholic Wedding · Mayan Wedding
Eternal Romance Wedding · Royal Catholic Weding · Catholic wedding

              3 COURSE MENU
              FOR PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE RECEPTION

              SALADS
Royal seafood salad perfumed with plum & peach oil (SP-1)
Avocado stuffed with crab pulp au fresh dill vinaigrette (SP-2)
Spinach souffl© with blueberry sauce au white wine flavor (SP-3)

              MAIN COURSES
Shrimps au sherry served with jambalaya rice (SP-1)
Red snapper Fantasy stuffed with seafood & black caviar cream (SP-2)
Beef fillet tournedo with fresh wild mushrooms sauce (SP-3)

              DESSERTS
Baked pear stuffed with almond mousse (SP-1)
Paris chocolate shell stuffed with fruit au white Cinzano flavor (SP-2)
Cannoli trio stuffed with praline & raspberry coulis (SP-3)

i have ideas of what i'm leaning towards, but it's so hard without tasting or even seeing!

              thanks!

                Hey Everyone,

On OOT bags, I heard that it is $5 per bag to have them delivered to the room. You can leave them at the front desk the day of arrival at no cost. Not sure if this has changed as this was from Kimberly.

                Lady Di,

I have been looking for that etsy link for the personalized bags. I'll post as soon as I find! I ended up going with the canvas ones from theknot.com. They havent arrived yet, but I will let you know how they come out when they do! :)

What is everyone doing for shoes?? We are doing the barefoot on the beach thing, so I am planning on wearing flat sandals at the reception. I have been looking for sparkly sandals for months now!! Any suggestions?
