Hi girls, I'm planning my wedding on Nov 27th, but am worried about room affordability and availability since it's a holiday week. Does anyone have any recent info or rates to give me an idea. I've been checking their site and other travel sites and see the low $300 range. Do they give better rates if you book in advance and several rooms? Also, how is the size of the beach in November? Thanks again!

Obviously, I never heard anything back. Since that time I have sent numberous emails and have called there office and have left messages for my wedding coordinator Angie. On Monday at 10am she sent me an email saying she would call me Monday morning, but I still haven't heard from here. Everytime I call they say she is on the other line and they take my message. I am getting so frustrated! I just have a couple quick questions that I want answered before making my final payment. I am just worried that something will happen and my wedding will not be confirmed since I haven't made my final payment. My wedding is only 24 days away! I really just want to be put in contact with the WC from the Royal so I can make sure everything is set.
Not sure if you read but right now they are overwhelmed with people quitting so that's probably why you haven't heard back. The WC at the Royal is supposed to get in touch with you two weeks before the wedding. I know how stressful it is. I would be stressed too. Hang in there.

Jesmcan, thank you!

Send more questions you'd like answered, I'll def ask what the heck is going on with their WC "corporate" offices and see if there are alternative points of contact, like people that won't quit.. :)

Lisa
Could you ask to see how big a standard bridesmaid bouquet is? Also, will they offer smaller bouquets like two stems of flowers? I think that is all i have for now! Thanks so much.

I don't think we can choose our WC...they assign one to you randomly.

That is what Kimberly told me. It ends at 11pm at the beach.

Hi Aerazo, unfortunetly they are not flexible on this. They have to end by 11pm. It is a policy because of the other guests there sad.gif I found this out from another bride who got married at the royal and tried to have it extended but no luck.

I believe that Angie still works there. I am getting married the day after you and she is my wc also! I have been trying to contact her for about a month to get everything finalized before making the final payment. Today when I called they said that she was in a meeting training people. I asked some of my questions to Suzanna who answered the phone. She was helpful on some of the questions. I faxed my final payment today and am hoping they will put me in contact with my wc at The Royal. Have you been in contact with someone from The Royal yet?

Hi :) My wedding is shortly before yours and I have started researching rates as well. I don't have too much to offer you but I do know that the room rates can change pretty often. Having said that, I'm not exactly sure how much they will fluctuate or lower. My guess is that they won't lower significantly - after all the resort is 5 star and all-inclusive. But that's just my hunch...I don't plan on booking through the hotel, it's MUCH cheaper to go through a website where you can get package deals (if not going through a travel agent). You can almost get a package for the price of just the room, through the resort. I do know that November isn't considered their high season, though...

Hi Trinas, how many of your guests have booked so far? None of ours have sad.gif they have all just started to contact our travel agent this week.

I think it is a matter of opinion. Our friends got married on the beach and had their reception at Pelicanos because their beach reception got rained out. We are getting married at the gazebo, but having a beach reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
