I thought you could choose each and every option and I wanted to do a pricing comparison. Well you still have to choose one of the packages. Than you just get to pick diffrent upgrades which I already knew about.

The Ultimate comes with bride hair, make up, pedi and mani but I am not going to be using any of these. I am not going to be using the photography either. I wish there was a way to do an exchange for diffrent services instead of those

oh well
I was disappointed to find out that we had to pick a package regardless...booo...i don't think i would need makeup and bridal hairstyling either! I def don't need a photographer...I already have a photographer flying in. More pics, right?

Do let us know if there is a MAC...that would be great for my bridesmaids. The resort is charging $60 just for makeup...i think that's just crazy. Hopefully MAC won't charge too much!

TA Jennifer provided it to me when working with the WC to secure the date with the WC at The Royal. Hopefully, you will be able to open it soon. Just keep posting away!

Someone asked how much MAC charges for makeup, its $50 you purchase whatever make up you want for $50 and they do your makeup, its not a bad deal at all, just watch the artist's. MAC likes to go really heavy on makeup. Onto the food, I spoke with Kimberly again and I asked how much they would charge to add on extra entrees but she didnt respond to that, however what she did say was "everyone has the same entree, unless I would like to offer the choices in my invites and keep track of which guest is having which entree and make place cards with the entree choice on the card for each guest" So it looks like thats what im going to have to do, especially the fact that I am Jewish and not the majority but theyre are a select few from my family that do only eat kosher, therefor putting a steak infront of thier face, would not go over so well. Also just to inform some of you ladies that are worried about getting your hair and makeup done through the hotel, during our stay last year I had my hair "blown out" 3 times and makeup done once, and it looked great! theyre prices I dont remember off hand but it was reasonable.

Yeah, everything is pretty much done, except for the things that we can only do there.

This is what I have planned:

Friday-Catamaran for all guests (as a 'thank you' for coming)

Saturday-Ceremony-5:00-Gazebo-Reception-beach-DJ Doremixx & Del Sol photographers

Sunday-Find a bar that is playing the Saints game :)

We have about 25 guests coming, so it will be a small, but very lively bunch!

I am soooooo ready!

So exciting!!!

Your ceremony is at 5:00 at the Gazebo? I saw on that a la carte link that someone posted that you could only have the ceremony there at 12 or 1 or something. i awnted to have mine around 4:00. So this is good news! I was going to call my wedding planner today to get them to ask about that!

Have a great time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
