How awesome!!! I so wish we could do a site visit, lucky!! I'm not sure on the weddings at that time. The earliest ones listed that Oscar_Ernie put together from this thread start in late October.

I don't think any of us are getting married until late October...someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think we may have a bit of a break for awhile!

Hey Adriana,

 

I've been to Cancun in April and it was quite humid, so I'm definitely considering that with my hairstyle. I would LOVE to wear my hair down, sexy and curled but on a good weather day the curls fall out, so in Mexico I'm not even going to try. I think up or half up is the way to go but some people are lucky and have hair that looks good in any climate (unfortunately not me wink.gif) As for the bachelor party issue, that is a touchy one (no pun intended!). I think it's a good idea to lay down some rules if your worried and trust that he will respect your wishes, otherwise you can drive yourself crazy!

Hey everyone, unfortunately we won't be staying or doing our reception at the Royal anymore. The prices for packages from Canada have not gone down. We only had 12 people going. So we switched resorts to a cheaper one and now we have 68 people going and most likely we will have 80. Just wanted to say thanks to every single one of you who have contributed to this thread. I have read every single post since last September and it helped me a lot. It's unfortunate we won't be doing it here as this was my first choice but it was hard for most of the guests to afford it.

Thanks to Zulma also who has been very good to us. She is even letting us use our deposit towards the spa when we go there. That was pretty cool of her I would say.

On a lighter note I have been reading about the stag/stagette issues. I am in Amsterdam now for part 1 of my stag and the fiancee is out in Vegas. Part 2 happens in November :) Heading home now, long flight ahead.

Anyway thanks again everyone. I will check in on this thread from time to time.

I am so sad to hear this, but regardless wherever you get married down south it will be wonderful! I live in Canada, and just last week i got a fantastic price quote from aircanada vacations and we are starting to book! Have a fantastic wedding, it will be amazing!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
