Hi ladies,

 

I've enjoyed reading this thread. Lots of great ideas!

 

Just wondering if any of the upcoming brides or recent brides have used Raffaele from mayanhospitality for lounge furniture and extra decor. I love the atmosphere that the extra decor and furniture creates, but just not sure if it's worth it for only 35-ish guests. Would you recommend his services?

 

Also, I've contacted Marvin from Maya Diseno Floral, but haven't heard back from the inital email. How has your experiences been with him?

Hi Chloeann,

I'm actually getting married at the gran caribe but I loooove the idea of lounge furniture, you're so right, it creates a great look..so modern, I would love to rent some, depending on how the budget looks close to the end, I know I've read some packages can be pretty pricey. But with the size of your group you could get away with less pieces.

I've also contacted Marvin, a week ago today and haven't heard back :( Keep me posted, maybe I'll write him again.

Alright Ladies, Boudoir photos are back!!!  I got mine done by Brooke Bready in DC.  Here is her blog (she is posting them there soon too I believe...http://brookebready.blogspot.com/search?q=boudoir).  She has a deal coming up, info is on her blog.  She was amazing!!!!!!!

Thanks JHarris! This is my last weekend to get all my stuff done. So stressed. I just have to put the programs together. I am doing fan programs. Amazon had a DIY kit for $20 that I bought. I have the writing all ready, just need to print.  I also have to do the script, but I need to do it at the right time when my FI and I are both feeling mushy - lol! Other than that, packing, and trying to have separtion anxiety over leaving my precious maltese - Missy for the first time eva cry.gif- Yaaaaaay!!

Has anyone made payments via the website recently? I am having trouble with my WC. She wants us to make payments by faxing a copy or our credit card and ID. I really don't feel safe doing this. Has anyone else had to make payments via fax? If not, how are you ladies doing it with your WCs?

I just made my FINAL payment this week throught the website, as far as I know no problems.  My WC said i could do the payment through the website or by calling her.  If the website isn't working I would call and do it over the phone so a copy of your cc info isn't laying around.

 

I've been sooooo sick the past couple of days, 103 fever etc it's really putting a damper on my wedding planning and I have so much to do.  We leave in 31 days, seems so surreal!

Diahr - I can't wait to see your planning thread!! I know it'll be a beautiful wedding. That's what I need to do as well - programs. I do like the fan idea. I'll have to check it out. Not bad for a DIY kit. AW!!! How sweet!! I love that you're doing your own vows. We're having a good friend officiate for us since we did the legal part inHouston already. We wanted our anniversary as legal date but a wedding during the summer. We told him to personalize it but to keep it light and fun. I'm somewhat nervous what he'll say but it'll just make it more memorable. =)

SweetLe - I've made payments by faxing them my info - and I've never had any issues with it. I was definitely skeptical at first but I've been monitoring the account and so far I haven't seen anything I don't recognize and it's been over 6months now.

 

I definitely agree that you can always call them and do the payment over the phone.

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
