Welcome Melanie.  This thread is so helpful and all the ladies are great!

My wedding is May 1, 2011.  We'll probably be down there the same time.

Hey Ladies!! I'm back, tanned and MARRIED!! My wedding was AMAZING!!! I can not say enough great things about the Royal, my WC Lili, and all the vendors that helped make our day perfect. I am going to post a full review shortly, just trying to get back to reality right now.

Happy wedding day Lisa and to all the upcoming brides :) Just relax and enjoy every moment, it flies by! I still keep playing it over and over in my head, it feels like a dream.

In the meantime, my friends have bombarded my facebook page with pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them, friend me on FB (Karen Arbasetti).

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Congratulations Karen!  So good to hear that everything was fabulous!

Recent brides - Did you guys exchange USD for pesos?  If so, where did you get the best rate?

I know back in September the government starting imposing the use of pesos rather than dollars.  I wonder if the shops, bars, etc are holding to it.  Or are they accepting USD?

Any help is appreciated.  I leave in 1 week!!  woot.gif

Welcome back Giraffexx, can't wait to read your review.

For Past Brides or people who have done site visits.  Do you have any recommendations for specific room numbers? For the wedding we choose a master one bedroom oceanview.  Has anyone stayed in one of those rooms that has pics?

Lisa, I hope you had a wonderful wedding date! smile03.gif

So guess what ladies, as many miscommunication issues that we've had with our WCs, I couldn't believe it when Zulma contacted us. She said long time no hear, WTF??? I hardly even got messages responded so I stopped asking and just start asking you ladies. Anyway, according to Patty, Zulma was supposed to be our coordinator. Now, she is saying Michel Madrid is supposed to be our new onsite WC. Has any of you worked with her before?

I'm working with Michele, I really haven't had much to really ask her. But she took care of everything I needed. I meet with her Tuesday when we get there. I did email her and gave her all the bridesmaids appts and she responded within 10 mins and confirmed they have been set up.

    • Hundreds of years before, the basic jewellery were made out of seashells and bone, trees and animal skin. In the ancient times, the Egyptian jewellery first came into existence. Egyptian culture inhabited technology, gemstones, and precious metals early in comparison to other places. They were inspired by the culture of royalty and aristocracy which led to thinking noble like having a deep appreciation for luxury. This made them create impactful jewellery and leading trends. Copper was the first metal that came into existence through which we as humans got so many jewellery items.  However, the major focus on jewellery came when they discovered gold. This allowed the Egyptian to rule as the first jewellery maker. The ancient Egyptians valued adornment and were worn by both men and women.  Material and metals: The plethora of material which was used in the making of this Egyptian jewellery was basically gold and silver. Egyptian has mostly attracted towards gold and the availability of silver was less in Egypt as compared to any other place. The colour variation was due to the mixing of elements such as alloys like copper, iron, silver into gold.  Charm jewellery: It was then also an interesting concept to have charms in necklaces, bracelets and other jewellery items. It’s just they were made up of stones and precious or semi-precious jewellery. In this picture above the necklace is adorned with precious stones in different charms shapes. Gem and stones: The more royal pieces of Egyptian jewellery were adorned with the precious jewellery items. The gemstones were semi-precious stones, precious stones are other various gems. The most prized stone were lapis lazuli, rock crystal, and pearls. Emeralds were also found in these jewellery pieces. These were made from ground quartz and then molded into expensive gemstones. They are also used as charm jewellery when molded or carved in different shapes.
