Lisa trust me when I say you will not regret it. I feel like a different person after doing this. Before my session I studied a lot of poses and tried them. I can't tell you how corny I felt ahahah but it paid of. FI caught me reading his Maxim magazine a few times and he looked very confused. Finally after the wedding I can explain why ahaha. However they do help you out to but if your practice before hand and look at poses you will see what works for you and it will bring out your personality. Like the one where I am on the chair I tried to lengthen myself out as much as possible lol

JoZee you will not regret it, they are amazing! this is what they do - if you do contact them tell them Jess McCann told you about them. I want them to know how much I love and support their work.

Not to mention I think it tops any gift lol I keep teasing FI that for his gift is me wrapped in a bow ahahah well almost.....lol

wow, Jess  - wow, wow, WOW, totally agree with lisa #4 as the fav and with runningbride below - now EVERYONE on this forum wants a boudoir session! : ) thing is, I know my FI will want to be in the pics too, so maybe he and I can both do one together and I'll set up one for just me afterward on the DL.

ok, so DETAILS! how long was your session? how many outfit changes? Raw isn't an option for me (living in austin), so I'd like to gauge the session length etc in order to get enough. but if I need to wait for your planning write-up, that's fine, too.

thank you again for having the confidence and positive esteem to share those photos. they're fantastic and such a great idea for all of us. : )

lisa - both yoga and/or the elliptical would be great! also, if you haven't tried it before, bikram yoga is another idea. it's much more strenuous because it's done in a heated room (around 100 degrees and 40% humidity), but I've heard several first-hand accounts from runners who rehabed knee injuries doing it (even those who were told that only surgery would correct their issues). the first few sessions are SUPER hot and VERY sweaty, but you kinda get used to it. it's definitely not for everyone but can work wonders. : )

Jess - You look GORGEOUS!! OMG your pics are seriously stunning!! You look like you should be in a Maxim magazine!! Damn girl...I need to work out hardcore before I do this for my fiance!!

Lisa - I am so sorry to hear about your hives sad.gif Try to drink some tea and relax and just trust that everything will be amazing and wonderful! You are so close to your wedding day and once you get down there hopefully all this stress will just melt away! I bought an eliptical for my house online off of craigslist actually. A guy was selling one for a great price and to me it was way more affordable than buying a new one. I don't use it as much as I should but I plan on working out HARD before the big day!!

Hey, I'm not even a Royal bride, I just happened to stumble on your post doing a search.

I just wanted to offer a tip from someone who has had a lot of hive issues in the past.  I had a terrible allergic reaction to an antibiotic. I had hives was all over my chest, back, neck and arms.

There is a homeopathic medicine called Antronex.  You can buy it online or at a health food store.  Just google it.  It has worked better than any benadryl or hydrocortisone for me and it has little to no side effects like drowziness.

Hope that helps.  Take care. :)

Aww thank you and to all the other ladies who offerred advice. Yeah, I never thought I was allergic to anything but MAN, the most intense itch/burn ever. I thought it was gonna drive me to insanity. The doc prescribed a steroid called prednisone and within 5 hours, I stopped itching, within 7 the angry red welts are now just a little miffed lol. It should be gone by tomorrow :-)

Lisa, glad you're feeling better! Be careful with prednisone. It makes you sloop hungry and it can easily put wEight on. For exercise, water aerobics is good. Being under the water takes the pressure off your knee. Also, you can get the wrist coils from Oriental Trading. In my soggy, there's a link for my thread on them. I uploaded the template too so there you go!

Jess, your pics are amazing. DH is going to flip his lid! I can't believe you are really getting ready to leaveI I feel like I have really gotten to k ow you and am SUPER excited for you!

Oh Kelly a boudoir with FI!! that is awesome, you could do a hollywood theme or something, that would be super sexy

Ok so here are the details - you don't need to wait for my planning thread :)

It takes three hours and that includes getting your hair and make up done

I suggest you start with a piece that has more coverage so you get comfortable. I started with FI's favorite soccer jersey.

Also I recommend drinking prior lol I had wine and it really helped a lot

Wear very high shoes, I am talking 5inches. The higher the shoe the longer the leg :) I bought my shoes at TJ maxx for $10

Invest in good lingeria. Start looking at magazine like Maxim and Victoria secret to get an idea of what looks good on you. I loved the one pieces. Pick out 4 different outfits to change into. You can bring props or an accessories. I brought my long pearls which worked out perfectly.

Practice, practice, practice, it makes a different if in you know what poses work for you and what you are comfortable with

Like I said all you ladies will feel amazing no matter what I gurantee it

AHAHAHAHHAAH thanks Risa - I should note that I did lose 30 lbs. before doing this and for the wedding. Got a little comfortable the last 5 years with FI and it just creeped up lol. Well since I am Spanish I am not willing to give up rice and plantains or avacados ahahah and FI is italian so pasta was out to. Instead I started running and do 5 miles 6 days a week and Sunday yoga. It really made a difference. I also cut out drinking during the week sad.gif  and I did cut down on carbs but I did not give them up. I have never felt better in my life as I do now.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
