I had that box checked when I sent my messages - and still nothing!  Part of me is so over the whole planning process, that I'm just laughing at it all...(its either that or start crying).  Hopefully I'll hear something soon.

Hi ladies, sorry I have been MIA and lots has been happening today. I booked Fernando as well, I just keep looking at the pictures of past brides who used him and his work speaks for itself. He does take some time to respond but I hate to say this is sort of a re-occuring theme down there lol.

Juliet that is insane that this is happening to you! but try not to stress it as hard as that may be right now. Just think of the beach, the margaritas and the fact that every bride before us says everything gets sorted out once you get down there. 8 days!!!! that came really fast.

I am 7 weeks away from leaving and I have fallen behind. Note to self. do not plan a wedding while working full time, going to grad school and than starting a blog on the side ahahaha. All I can say is thank you for alcohol lol.

Don't worry everything is going to be perfect. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Does anyone on here have Andres Rodriguez as their WC at The Royal? We emailed her some questions and her responses made no sense. I agree, shouldn't it be slower now that we're in hurricane season? LOL..... I asked her about extending our reception by an hour and she replied with how much longer do I want the ceremony and what else did I want? ?????

Granted it's early in the process so I'm laughing it off but I am slightly concerned. Unfortunately I'm under that darn new fee!!! ARGH!!!!! Thank god my photographer counts as a guest. rolleyes.gif

I can't believe how calm you seem!! I would be totally freaking out. Definitely call because that is not acceptable - even if it turns out to be beyond your expectations. 8 days and no response is not how you do good business. Hang in there!!! It'll be amazing and beautiful. msnwink.gif

OMG!  8 days!   I can't wait to hear about it and see pictures!

With the basecamp the coordinators have to be "subscribed" to the mesage/thread.  I wasn't getting a response from my WC through the basecamp and then emailed her directly and she explained what had happened.  Whos' your WC?  Considering you are only 8 days away I would just call directly though!

Good luck, keep us updated!

Well...I finally spoke to someone in the wedding office (after being transferred 3 times)!  I told her what I needed and she assured me that it wouldn't be a problem and that my coordinator would finalize everything at our meeting on Tuesday.  I feel a little better, I guess, but not totally reassured.  At least its just small things and all of the really important stuff is taken care of (still doesn't excuse the lack of responsiveness).

Can't wait for the beach and that first pina colada!

Thanks for all of the support ladies!  I will let everyone know how it all turns out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
