No, we didn't. sad.gif Thanks though, we found a place that will do it for $70. Better than $300 that I've seen on other threads!

I was married in April at the Gran, and haven't changed my name yet legally here. Too many things going on with the AHR which is now over. I didn't realize it would be such a big deal to change my name. Ladi Di, did you get two copies of your marriage certificate? They are at home and I haven't looked at them in a while, but if I remember correctly I believe one may be translated..... Let me know what you find out on if the Royal will send you a translated copy. Thanks! Jaime

Hey Girls,

Thanks so much for all of the sweet words about the dress debacle. It has been a freakin frustrating pre-wedding week. I DID find someone to fix the monstrosity that was my dress though after driving around to several shops over the entire state on Maryland on Monday!!! Picked it up this am and it is about 100 times better!!!

Anyway, we are leaving on Tues early am, but I am slammed with work (good timing, right?) today, tom, Sunday AND Monday so just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you in case I dont get a chance to log back on before we leave. I got so much useful info and couldn't have done it without you guys! We are headed to Thailand for the honeymoon fun (the good part, not the scary travel warning places that we have all benn seeing) wink.gif so I'll post the review, planning thread, etc when we get home mid-July. Everyone leaving before then, have wonderful weddings!!! I'll have a mojito AND a margarita for each of you!

So, the fiance called the Mexico office last week to see what was going on regarding getting a new WC. He spoke to Zulma since that's who we met on our site visit. He asked her if we could just have her since we've already met her etc. and she said sure she'd jsut have to talk to Michelle since that's who we are assigned too.

She said that wedding already booked would be given to the office in Playa at The Royal and that wedding not booked yet would be going to the new Cancun office. Well we never heard back.

The fiance called again this week and she said that they changed things again and that we'd be assigned to the new Cancun office but she'd see if she can just take us over and she'd give us a call back. Never got that call.

Wednesday I received an autoamted email from Katia Nunez stating that she's our assigned WC. I emailed her back confirming she had our correct date, locations, times, etc. and got no response back.

I miss Aja!!! She was wonderful! (my michigan WC) Seems like things are pretty hectic down there right now. sad.gif

Yeah on Tuesday (I think) I received an email from someone I'd never even heard of before telling me my new WC's name and email. It was signed 'Angie Hayes' but a different ladies email, which I found odd....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
