ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Try taking probitics so it will wash out any bad bacteria. I am so sorry you have to deal with it. Feel better.

Mckee, ouch! Did you pay her? She should refund your

money! I hope you can find someone to fix it. How did she butcher it?

Thanks, I hope it will. No, she thought it looked fine. I honestly think she thought I wanted to show too much skin. She did the opposite of what I wanted her to do to take the bodice in and its heaved up around my underarms, which pulled the entire dress all the way up....Definitely not the pretty look any of us are going for and pretty dang uncomfortable to boot. (Imagine your relatively normal arms looking a bit like snausages (yes, as in the doggie treat) sticking out of your once beautiful dress.)The dress looks like a completely different dress. Anyway, going to look far and wide for a seamstress down by where we live that can perform a miracle in the next week and pray that it works out. My FI is military and we have been here less than a year, so a bit harder than if we were in TX or CA, where we are from and know people.

I would go to the nearest boutique for even davids bridal and talk to one of the seamstresses there that are used to working with all different kinds of wedding dresses. Oh sweetie, best of luck. Like Jess said, it will all work out and you will be gorgeous on your wedding day.

2Mckee yikes that is tough not knowing the locals quite yet but like Lisa said you may be better off checking out a bigger location like david's bridal. They may be more accustomed to these kinds of situations. I would also try calling other popular bridal stores in your area maybe the have a recommendation.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you :)

Just got my dress back from the seamstress since we leave in 8 days and its totally BUTCHERED. Horribly. I am looking everywhere for someone that can perform a miracle in the next week..... Got it at a sample sale at Kleinfelds in NY and it doesnt even look like the same dress I bought....Boo.
I am so sorry. I would definately try David's. I had both of my dresses altered there and they were fabulous. Good luck. Keep us posted.

I went outside of the resort based on mixed reviews. I have heard good and bad and I just did not want to risk it. I will have an afro in that weather if its not tamed correctly lol based on Fernandos reviews I thought for me personally it was the best choice.

For everyone that recently had your weddings. Does the coordinator go over how the ceremony will go with you and the wedding party? I'm planning on having FI uncle, who is an ordained minister perform the ceremony since we are doing symbolic. I haven't asked his uncle yet, but he keeps asking us if we want him to do it. I'm nervous about everyone not knowing what they are doing....or do I just line everything up myself and tell everyone?

Maybe I should tell everyone a time the day before to meet, show them the gazeebo (since most are staying at Royal and wedding is at Real) and do a dinner. Is it hard to get reservations for about 30 ppl? How far in advance should I make the reservation...a day...a week before?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
