Thanks Lisa and Happy New Year to you too!

I guess I'll have to write yet ANOTHER email to the Royal WC, confirming that we do NOT have to pay the $400 surcharge and that our outside vendor fee will only be $100 since we booked prior to Dec. Man...how much more can they change!!!

I can think of a few New Years resolutions for the Royal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I looked on the website and did see the Lux package price changed again, thankfully I previously emailed Zulma in August and confirmed my previous price once again. But where is this new vendor fee? I am going to email her regardless and I have an original confirmation from Angie but I didn't see this listed anywhere?

You are probably exempt from the fee, but it was listed on my wedding contract.

I will be interested to see how this all pans out because we put our deposit down weeks ago, but were never told that we needed to pick a wedding package to go into contract. I shouldn't have to email her to see what the next step is, that is her job to keep the process flowing. I am still waiting for that contract...

Unfortunetly these are part of the Royal's new policy's and the reason we chose not have our wedding reception there. However they were suppose to be honoring the old policy if you put a deposit down before December of this year. Do you have a TA? If so I would get in contact with her and have her call them.
Thank you for the heads up! I do have a TA and she has been GREAT!!! I might see what she can do. Thanks!

Thanks to all of your reviews, I have decided to start looking into hiring a TA to assist in coordinating my guests travel. Would you please send me some information as to any awesome TAs you'd recommend?

Thank you ahead of time! prayer1.gif

Hi Lisa,
I am using a TA from this forum, Jill. She has been wonderful and they have lots of experience. If you click on the banner at the top and fill out the form a TA that specializes in Mexico will be in touch.

If there is another person I should contact that is more responsive please let me know. Thank you in advance.
Just bumping my own post if anyone has any info. Thanks and Happy New Year

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
