Do you think there is any way they would have a wedding at the gazebo and on the beach in front on the gazebo at the same time?? I am hoping they would not. In that case, I think I may choose the beach in front of the gazebo... and if the beach disappears, I can just have it at the gazebo instead. Or my option #2, which my mom really wants to me to do, is have the entire wedding at the Gran Porto Real, since that is where most of my guests will be staying. If the beach there really is bigger and nicer like you said, then that could be a good option too!?!
Aghh...I'm not getting married until 2011... I think I may have to make a site visit manditory, even if it means I have to go alone! hehe

PS I am going to e-mail you for the menu options!! I really appreciate it!!
I know it is a difficult choice to make lol

Yes they possibly would do a wedding infront of the Gazebo at the same rtime. However the Gazebo is really high up and all you can see is the water. Plus all your guests will be sitting below they will only see the sky line. I really don't think they would do this anyways but there is always a chance.

I think that option is great to move it to the Gazebo if the beach is gone. It is a beautiful spot and if I did not have so many people I would have done the same.

Option 2 is also a great idea lol The beach is a lot nicer at The Gran Porto but I do have to say personally I thought The Royal was much nicer. It has a very different ambiance than The Gran Porto.

If you can do a site visit I highly recommend it. We learned so much ad things were so diffrent than we had thought in our minds lol

Hi kendra your welcome, by the way I did ask about the measurements of the red carpet but Zulma did not know off hand. As soon as you know who your WC is I would call them and ask if they can get that to you. Sorry I tried finding out but no luck sad.gif

so i'm pretty sure i will being using ivan gomez as the dj. we can't decide on the lighted floor. what do you guys think? we are having the reception in the ballroom (we thought it would just be a change of scene, give it a more 'traditional' feel....but the beach/garden receptions do look amazing) i'm just wondering what your opinions are. it seems like most the people who have had it, really enjoyed it. we are planning to have about 50 people. do you think its worth it? did most the guests seem to enjoy it?

Sorry, I was talking about the candles on the tables during our reception.

I will post my review tomorrow!

i'm getting married in may at the gran porto real. the ceremony itself is scheduled at sunset (about 6pm). the next dinner seating is at 9pm! i'm wondering if other people have had the same issue and what ideas are out there to fill time. sure, some pictures will be taken and some cocktails will be enjoyed, but it seems like a long time between and i'm wondering how to best entertain my guests (maybe 20, including adults and children).

thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
