To use outside vendors there is a $100 fee plus you have to pay for them as a guest. But even with the fee you save so much money! Especially with the DJ. And the photography they offer is really just personal taste. We went with another photographer again a lot less expensive and in my opion a better portfolio.

So it's $100 per vendor + their guest pass meaning another $60-$70 depending on which meal you are going with?

TightyWhitey, thanks for the photos!

I notice that your wedding date was May 29, 2009. I reserved my date for May 29, 2010. Could you let me know how weather is like? I am worried that it will be too hot for my wedding/reception since it will be outdoor! Plus, I don't want any mosquitoes to be celebrating with us either! Lol

Hi Emen,

That is correct so but like I said check out the rates from the resort for the same DJ and it will blow your mind how much they hike up the prices.

Hola Girls,

First to all Congratulations to all of you :), and thank you in advance for your kindly request in our services, I have received some request from some of you and there are some doubts about the light up dance floor that I offer in my services and the dance floor provided sometimes from the Hotel.

This were my answer from the last e-mail that I have received from one of the brides from this forum:

1.- The dance floor during the wedding of TightyWhitey was no provided by me.

2.- The dance floor that probably saw from TrentLaw wedding was my dance floor but he ask for this dance floor, and is different between the dance floor provided by the Hotel.

3.- The Hotel sometimes offer the light up dance floor for free according to the wedding package that the brides choose, but is not my dance floor, it is a dance floor from other company.

4.- The light up dance floor that the hotel provides you for free is not really a dance floor is small stage and they put lights under this stage and looks like dance floor.

5.- Please see enclosed photos and you can see the difference between my dance floor and the dance floor provided for the hotel.

I hope this clarify your doubts, and feel free to contact me for any questions you may have :)

-------------------

Also there are doubts about the different prices for our services, but this is because some prices are for weddings on 2009 and some weddings will be on 2010.

Best regards and happy planning :)

I would schedule it earlier than that. You still have to get back to your room and get in your dress (which depending on your dress could take some time), also if you are planning on getting any before ceremony pictures like getting ready, first look with FI or any romantics or bridal shots you will need more time. Its better to allow plenty of time and have to sit in your room and wait and be able to relax and collect yourself then to run through the hotel in a panic trying to make it down the aisle. But that's just my opinion. I think if you do a search on the site there are other people's timelines posted, I know its a well discussed topic because every bride gets flustered about it. Hope that helps wink.gif

Just a suggestion, but it would make booking a lot easier for us if you offered paypal. I have noticed that several other vendors in the Playa area use this.

I agree Ivan... Paypal would be so much easier... I have been trying to work with Western Union and my credit card is not allowing the transaction. I'm still working on it though. But, I never have a problem with Paypal...

Can't wait to meet you and looking forward to you being our DJ!!!!!

Also, I wanted to do centerpieces that weren't on the list they gave me. Does anyone know, can you stray from the list and have them do different arrangements? I attached the ones that I really want. Saw it on Elizabeth Medina's website and it fits my colors perfectly. Has anyone done something similar and if so how much did it run you per arrangement?

Thank you!!!
I really want to see your pdf center pieces sad.gif but it says I do not have enough access yet.

I would e-mail the images to the WC and have them quote you on it. Maybe look at the ones that are comparible and ask if you can have this one for the dame price.

Tutti,

I am allowing at least 3 hours for hair and makeup. What if you don't like what they do at first? This way you don't panic. You will be inside for the whole 3 hours, so you don't have to worry about humidity.

I also don't have the access to open the floral attachment. sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
