ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Hi girls, this is so helpful. I've been emailing the contact on the site, but no one has gotten back. Lady Di- can you give me Jennifer's email. I'm starting to reconsider the Royal since it's so hard to get in touch with someone, but I hear nothing but good things about past weddings. I don't want to regret it. Thanks!!!

So here's the update:

Weddings are being assigned on the fly as you call in. They are hurting now as a result.

My recommendation is:

1. put all your info and questions together in a single document and number the items.

2. use that doc to coordinate and get Q&A taken care of.

Personally I'm sick of the tons and tons of emails with long paragraphs and having to dig through them for the answers.

A FAQ page would be incredible for them. Just update it as they answer them.

Here's the BIG PROBLEM - apparently they only have 7 rooms left at the Royal for our wedding weekend and I need ~15-20 and ~15-20 at the GP. Hmmmm.

For you all with big groups, make sure they have plenty of vacancy.

Click on the TA banner on the top (where it says Click here to contact one of BDW's experienced Travel Agents) and put in the comment area that you would like to use TA Jennifer.

I think we all ladies should put together a huge document of FAQs for this thread but the question is where will it be seen?

When is your wedding weekend?

Hi Ladies,

My wedding date is quickly approaching, February 6th! My final payment was suppose to be due on Dec. 23. I had sent an email with a couple last minute questions prior to the due date. Obviously, I never heard anything back. Since that time I have sent numberous emails and have called there office and have left messages for my wedding coordinator Angie. On Monday at 10am she sent me an email saying she would call me Monday morning, but I still haven't heard from here. Everytime I call they say she is on the other line and they take my message. I am getting so frustrated! I just have a couple quick questions that I want answered before making my final payment. I am just worried that something will happen and my wedding will not be confirmed since I haven't made my final payment. My wedding is only 24 days away! I really just want to be put in contact with the WC from the Royal so I can make sure everything is set.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
