Hi Just sent you the stuff, also if you do not see something you like you can always send a picture and they will do it for you. They were very accomodating when it comes to that.

How exciting! Were you able to take any pictures?
I completely agree with you about checking out your options before you make a decision. You don't want to have any regrets!! I was planning to wait until I was a year out from our wedding before shopping but when I was home for Christmas, my mom and sister wanted to check out the local bridal boutique. Happily, the Spring 2010 dresses were already in the store. It was a blast and as a result, I'm now totally addicted!!!
I saw two dresses that I loved but the boutique didn't have one dress that I'm dying to try on...hence the trip this Friday here in DC. The dress is the Maggie Sottero Anniston.

I can't wait to hear about the shopping trips and see everyone's dresses. I think I love clothes a little too much ;-)

Oh, and Jess...you're website is AMAZING. Good job girl!

This may have been answered already....We brought in our own photographer too, and so we let the resort photographer come as well to just the wedding ceremony and then picked out 24 of his photos to use that they printed and put in a wedding album for us before we left...we weren't able to extend our videographer for the wedding. It was a little confusing have our photographer and the resort photographer and the video guy there though... but I let everyone know who our main photographer was and to make sure they were looking more at him. It was nice to get some pics right away...although I'm not sure they were the best. they are nice quality but I find he didn't work on them at ...no cropping other people out or anything. I would hope that he would work on it more if he was the only photographer...but I'm guessing not...?
I still haven't seen the video!! It wasn't ready for us when we left so my inlaws picked it up for us (they stayed a second week we didn't) and they haven't gotten it to us yet!!
Hope that helps you out a bit...

We are going to have the website as a keep sake and put it on a CD after.

I also will be going wedding dress shopping next saturday and the saturday after that. Apperantly I am sort of late in the game lol I was going to wait till May but thankfully I called and ask when I should start looking. I found out it takes 6 months just to get the dress and than all the fittings. Well happy shopping and make sure to take pictures to show us :)

Well if you are late in the game then I am behind you!! I haven't even thought about dress shopping yet - I've looked on some things online but not ventured to the stores yet....We are finishing up renovations on a house we bought over the summer, so we can move in - it's a bit hectic but I guess I should get my move on!!!

Great webisite, Jess! I might have missed this in previous posts, but, you aren't having your reception at the resort (or, I don't know what the Kool Beach Club is...)?

I got an email from Jill regarding her TA services, I totally agree with you all that a TA is the way to go. I will talk to her more to see if she's the one we want to work with...do you have a sense of how far out you guys will book your trip - I just thought about it today and there are 3 of us having our weddings on the 11th and 12th! Me, you and Randi will have to meet up for a celebratory-bridal beverage!!

Thanks just making sure Zulma was still around. Yeah I have her email stating I could use my deposit for something else like the spa and my deposit receipt from the bank. Guess I'll just show up at the Resort with all of this.

Well ladies,

I have FINALLY received my contract from my WC. I sent her a long email explaining how I didn't think it was fair that I would be charged $400 for having my wedding after 4pm when she was the one who never sent me a contract. She explained for getting off on the wrong foot and agreed to waive the fee. I'll be sure to save that email!! Needless to say, I am a bit relieved! Lets hope the rest of the planning goes a bit smoother.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
