Hi,

Sorry there is no one else who is more responsive. I would stick with Zulma if she was the one who originally told you this. I would also keep a print out of the e-mail confirming this. We have all been having huge issues with the lack of communications from those working at the Royal.

From what I hear, the resort's coordinators are not supposed to be communciating with the brides. That is what US coordinators are for. So maybe that's why there are lot of issues with the cordinators at the royal. They are supposed to get in touch with the brides two weeks before their wedding.

I am in the process of finding a TA to use - do the ones through here work to find the best prices?? It's so hard to know because the prices are always fluctuating, anyway, but I really want to use someone who will help to get the best prices possible!

That is true...I learned this just a few weeks ago, about 4 months after sending in my deposit - I am working with Michelle at the resort but apparently was supposed to be assigned someone in the States...Not sure what happened, and it's not the end of the world, but it's getting harder to get answers to my questions....

If you fill out the TA banner at the top of the page with your information someone will contact you. I am working with TA Jennifer and she has been AMAZING!!! Very helpful, polite, quick and knowledgeable. I think it is worth it to not have to deal with wedding travel drama! You can always get in contact with someone get a feel of the situation and decide from there. For me the no hassels approach for myself and our guests was worth it!

Kerri- I agree with JamK about the stress-free benefit of the TA but also wanted to say that I really do think that they can get you great deals. FI and I are going to the Royal this May for a site visit (can't wait) and my TA, Jill was able to do price matching for the the early early booking bonus that was being offered by the resort. Another benefit is that her prices include transfers from the Cancun airport which is SO important, esp when you're bringing a bunch of friends and family!

Now, on a fun wedding-planning note...FI and are becoming Save the Date machines today! We're doing boarding passes with a little vistaprint magnet attached to the second pass. I think they're so cute and I can't wait to send them out...plus they take my mind off of price changing and communication problems at the Royal! I'm also going dress shopping on Friday so I'm a happy bride smile123.gif

Does anyone else have big wedding planning goals for the week?

wow thats great you are getting so much done! It is a good idea to give guests a lot of time to plan and save up. We accomplished our first biggest goal, our wedding web site www.jnj.wedsite.com

We are going to have the website as a keep sake and put it on a CD after.

I also will be going wedding dress shopping next saturday and the saturday after that. Apperantly I am sort of late in the game lol I was going to wait till May but thankfully I called and ask when I should start looking. I found out it takes 6 months just to get the dress and than all the fittings. Well happy shopping and make sure to take pictures to show us :)

I started looking for wedding dresses last week. I found one I LOVE! But I have two more appointments this Saturday, so I want to wait until after I go to those to make a decision. Happy shopping!! It's been a lot of fun so far :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
