Hi Ladies, happy holidays to everyone!!

I wanted to let everyone know that we decided to changed our reception from the Royal afterall.

But all our guests and us are still staying at the Royal and the Gran Porto. We are also still doing our ceremony followed by a champagne toast at the Royal.

I will still be here, if anyone needs any of the reception info I will hold onto it.

Hi Randi,

We are having it at a place called Kool Beach Club which is right next door to the Royal.

We decided in the end we wanted something more private. Kool let's you have the entire place to yourself. And after all the drama and the constant change of rates as well as certain policies we decided the Royal was just not for us. It really just came down to our personal preferance. We also saved a lot of money so I was happy with that :)

Jescam,

Congrats on finding a plan for your wedding that is perfect for you! I've seen pictures of a couple of weddings at Kool that were just gorgeous. Did you really find that moving your reception off-site was cheaper than doing it at the Royal? That's surprising...so much for the all-inclusive thing saving us money!!

With you moving your reception to the Kool Beach Club, does that mean you need to find all your own vendors such as caterers, cake person, etc... or does Kool Beach CLub provide that? I think that place looks awesome, and there was a point that i thought to myself, darn it, i should have done it at the Kool Beach CLub. congrats you moved it to that place, its super cool!

Out of curosity, do they charge you a rental fee for using their space? and till what time can you have your reception until at night? Do you have contact information for them or a website? =)

Thanks!

I hope that someone has contacted you by now! If not definately get your TA on the phone so you can get your details and pricing worked out prior to going!

Side note- I am located only about 30 minutes from you in Allegan Mi ! Small world!

So, I guess I will just be patient and wait and see. Also your picture of the boxer with Santa is just adorable :).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
