ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Hello Everyone,

 

Thank you so much for all the information you have provided. I just finished reading all 190 pages, now I just have a few questions. I am in the process of trying to get my wedding booked at Royal. I have emailed them and am just waiting to hear back so I can get an offical wedding date! I was wondering if to have a beach reception if you need to go with the Luxury Wedding Package? To me it looked like if you went with any of the less priced packages then the reception would be in a restaurant or something. Also if anyone has any information they would be will to pass on to me it would be greatly appreciated since I am just in the beginning stages of planning, my email address is [email protected]. Did anyone ask by any chance about getting married at Pelicanos? Do they allow this? If so does anyone know what there max amount of people is?

So much has happened since I was last on here! I am getting so excited to get married after reading all the fun posts. Congrats to all!

 

I have been crazy trying to finalize details, but I think we are good for a outline of events.

 

Wednesday - Welcome Dinner (which is the best restaurant at the gran porto for people to meet up for dinner)

Thursday - Catamaran - Catamaya (super easy to work with and doing sunset tour w/snacks and drinks - $1800)

Friday - Wedding Luxury Package (just using all that comes with package except photographer). Gazebo @ 4pm & beach party. Photographer - Artistique (Portland), DJ Doremixx (Ivan).

 

I think we will have about 40-50 people...30 some booked so far.

 

Invites have gone out - NUTS!!! We did them ourselves and I love them

How much was the luxury package for 2009 and 2010 at the Royal ? I think the price went up !!!

I got quotes for 2900US for 2009 and 3100US for 2010.

I booked the luxury pkg for 2010 and it is 3100 US plus 400 USD for whichever wedding official/not official (haha) you choose.

I've heard from my mom's friend, who goes to Playa every year and stays @ the Royal, that the Italian restaurant at the Gran (Il Pescatore) is the BEST so that's where we're having our welcome dinner.

Well actually I was thinking in the actual restaurant I have never seen it so I am not sure if this is even possible. I was just thinking of a plan B in case. We are going on our site visit next month yay!! so I guess we will see tahn lol
