ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

I think if the reception is later in the evening (after 7:00 pm) then it would be ok for a reception. the beach area is smaller there so if you are not having a ton of people, it should be ok. I did see one reception on the beach there and they had a U shaped table instead of the round tables so they were able to fit more people into the space and it seemed more intimate.

I have one question, is the central beach location for a reception ok? I know it won't be very private but are there any other bad qualities about it?

jesmcan,

I think i read in one of your past posts that when you go in November you are going to find out how much it costs for a MAC person to come to your suite to do your makeup. If you do, Would you also find out from the resort if there is any "Vendor Fee" or any type of fee we would have to pay to let the make-up artist in our rooms?

Thanks so much!

Adriana

i would think there would be a vendor fee or you have to buy a pass for her to come.

However, i now feel really nervous about having my ceremony on the beach...i wish i could book both the beach in front of the gazebo and the gazebo and just choose when i get there! haha I'm starting to feel that maybe a site visit is necessary!!
I really liked using the Gazebo at the royal- it was more private and you still had the full view of the ocean and beach behind you. But i am pretty sure you can change your mind. My WC let me change my mind on tons of things when i got there. I had Michelle. - She rocked. My link to my review is below my sig.

Lady Di... I have actually booked the gazebo. If you book the gazebo then you are basically also booking the beach in front of the gazebo - if you decided to change your mind. They would not book the beach in front of the gazebo while your wedding is going on because then they would have two weddings basically in one location. Also, there is only one gazebo and there are three different locations for a beach wedding. That way for sure you had the gazebo but if you decided at the last minute you wanted the beach then you would have that option. Does that make sense? Just a thought... :)

My 2 cents...

My ceremony is in the gazebo. I wanted my reception on the beach in front of the gazebo but Zulma told me that if I do that the tables will already be set up on the beach and be visable in my Ceremony pictures instead of open beach and water. So I have the Central beach location booked for my reception, this makes me worry though. I don't mind that it isn't as "private" since well its a party and hopefully I take the "more the merrier" approach to onlookers. But I am more concerned about how "aesthetically pleasing" it is at that location. Is there going to be ugly trash cans, people's crap laying around, etc.? This worries me. Maybe I should just have the tables visable in my pictures?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
