What are you ladies going to do for your table decorations for your reception dinner? How are you going to jazz it up? The standard white set-up is so blah to me lol. I may order flower centerpieces or use the Candles they provide as the table centerpiece. I also bought a bunch of turquoise decorative marbles to scatter on the tables but now im debating whether thats going to look a mess or if i should add them to small vases or something.. just curious what others are doing! Thanks!

I am planning to order chair ties for the ceremony and reception in my wedding colors and also add colored fabric to the tables over the tops of the white linen table cloths. I haven't decided if I will do centerpieces or not.

Hi!

I am getting married in PDC next June. Originally I was going to do both civil and catholic but just decided to do the catholic one and get my marriage certificate in my CT to avoid all the translation paperwork. But here is the information my wedding coordinator gave me:

PAPER WORK: for civil legal ceremonies your wedding coordinator would give you paper work to fill out which is basically information for you and your fiance and witnesses (relatives can be witnesses and they need to be over 1cool.gif. You have to notarize your long version of your birth certificates (with a notary) and get them translated by a Mexican consulate plus photocopies of the 1st 2 pages of your 6 passports (you 2 plus the 4 witnesses) and of the tourist cards (that you get entering Mexico.

Hope his helps.

I know! I am so upset, I was stoked to have all this stuff sent out, still no reply back from her though, however there seems to be some us # attached to the forms, I was considering calling but I dont want to add to the confusion.

Well the info is for a wedding at the in Cancun not in PDC, I know most of you are getting married in playa...

I'm on a pretty strict budget so we decided to do little buckets filled w/sand and yellow votive candles on top with sea shells and sand around the buckets (if it's not too windy, that is!). Also, I'm trying to find some little turquoise confetti-type stuff to put w/the shells. I got a bunch of bags of small sea shells at Micheal's for like $3. Simple, but I think it will turn out nice.

If you have any guests staying at The Real PDC... do they need to purchase a day pass for the wedding day? Have any of you discussed this with the wedding coordinators yet?
I know for sure the guests staying at the Gran can pay $60 for at least a 3day, 24hr pass. See below:

As far as the promotion, that was what we were told at the front desk at the gran porto. Since my wedding isnt untill next April, i asked if this promotion is only for a limited time and they said no we always have this. So basically your guests can opt to pay $60 which is for 3 days to be allowed on the royal property. This is great for those people who dont want to pay all that money to actually sleep there but can go visit.

any other questions, i will try my best to answer!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
