ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Adriana,

I am doing Tiffany Blue (sort of turquoise) and a hot pink or whatever you want to call it, fushia?

I based my decision off of all the wedding photos on this site, I love how those colors pop with the ocean!

Good Luck!

I am thinking of having my bridesmaids dresses in turquoise but not sure if thats too matchy matchy with the ocean. Also can't decide what color would compliment turquoise as far as their bouquets and other decorations at the reception ...would love to hear what colors other brides are doing.

or if anyone has suggestons what i could match with turquoise, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Adriana
I am going with hot pink or fuchsia! Love how it looks against the ocean.

Hi Lady Di,

I'm getting married at The Royal playa del carmen on Friday, May 7th! how awesome! Which package are you going with? How far in advance are you getting there? Are you using a DJ? if so, who? Have you booked your photographer? I just booked my photographer - we're flying ours down.

Woo woo! We chose The Luxury Package because we're expecting about 35-40 guests. No, I think we are going to play songs on my guy's iPod. I am in process trying to decide which to use, Claudia Rodriguez's team or Funever, the resort photographer. it's more of a budget issue...if the money isn't an object then I would go with Claudia right away but it seems like my guy is not having luck finding a job. He got laid off this past June.

Best wishes and good luck to you!

Anyone who used Funever, were you pleased with their pictures?

I used Funever's photos...they are great. i would really recommend them. They are open to ideas too if you wanted to do something unique. Email your WC and ask them to have Funever show you some samples of their pictures. they have a website that they can give you. Save your money!!! :-)

What am I missing here? What made all of you girls book the one in PDC over Cancun? My fiance and I stayed there last May and we loved everything!! Were going back nov27th-dec1st to do our site inspection and were also going to visit the property at PDC for a site inspection as well. The WC ive been intouch with said there arent any available saturdays in the month of May or June 2010 at PDC.

Hi StevensFiance,

Well we chose The Royal PDC over Cancun because we just love Playa more lol I really think it is personal taste. We love 5th Ave and the idea that our guests can walk around and explore with out having to worry about transportation. Also even though we chose an all-inclusive resort most of our family wanted a place they could go out a night and try diffrent restaurants. We love all the restaurants in Playa and walking around or just having a drink in one of the many out door bars. To us the atmosphere just seems diffrent in Playa than in Cancun. Again this was just our own personal feeling but I feel both places are very beautiful and either is a good choice.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
