ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Thanks Stephaie that's great! I'd like to give the option of all 3 - espeically with an economy like this and we have a variety of people going, I'd like to have all options!

It looks like on the map they are all 3 right next to each other! Yay!!!

I just cannot get a straight explanation why the prices are higher? What is driving this? The prices are so low right now because of the SF, do they expect a surge in the New Year?

For those that booked in the past, is their a one time price match option if the price goes down? Like shorting a stock?

EmenGeeRoxx....I feel your frustration as well. I think all the resorts are hoping the high season will remain high in 2010. I almost believe that it's not worth it for guests to do early booking to be promised the guaranteed group rate. Perhaps if they wait a little longer, they can find a dirt cheap option. Their site even boasts $35.84 USD for last min deal to The Royal!!! That should be a question I ask the WC during my site visit. I'll be going down July 21-23. Any requests for pictures??

Loanmao- That really sweet of you. I'm curious about the "beach" reception sites. I know what the ballroom, gazebo and garden look like but appearently there are like 3 beach site choices? I would like to see what those choices are. Like does one really suck because its more in the public walkway area to the beach, is one more "private" because its further down the beach... KWIM?

Otherwise I'll think about any other questions I might have but I don't want to bother you with all that. If you happen to get the pictures great.

I have to say, you are lucky to be able to swing a site visit, I wish I could. I guess what I would ask is when you are there if there is anything you observe or learn that makes you think to yourself "Gosh I'm glad I came for my site visit because I wouldn't have know that and now that I do I am changing my mind about this option, etc"

does that make sense?

I don't know if I can post it or not but I found cheaper hotel rates on here as opposed to the hotels site!

Mods just delete if I shouldn't have it there!
I am from Canada so all our pricing includes hotel and flight. As of this morning I was getting $2000+ CAD taxes and transfers included for the Gran Porto Real. Last year it was $1300. The Royal pricing was not out yet this morning so I was assuming it would be at least $500 more. Anyway I just checked the different sites and the pricing has gone down for all the resorts in Mexico for January! The pricing is similar to 2009 so I am very happy. Hoor-f@ckin-ray!!! Pardon my portuguese!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
