I forgot in the US you guys get room rates and you have to book your flight separately? In Canada we get package rates which include flight, hotel and transfer. Those prices you quoted are per person for the room only correct or does that include flight and transfers?

I contacted Lilia, my coordinator and she said that because I booked prior to the change in price, I can keep the previous prices. So be sure that you're getting the previous price if you booked before them changing!

Also, I'm picking the gazebo, I love the beach, but we have some great aunts and some grandmother's who will be with us who have a bit of a hard time walking and I wouldn't want them to have a hard time walking in the sand. We can go and take pics on the beach right after....

Allison&Kevin...the prices are listed per person. For example, under Royal PDC, the price is $332 for one person in a junior suite, $210 per person in a double, and $160/person for a 3rd and 4th adult. Are these prices comparable to what you have been getting? Angie tells me that these are already discounted room rates and they cannot go cheaper. However, if the rates drop at a later date then she can give us the cheaper price. If the prices increase, we are locked in at these prices as long as the deposit is paid. If anyone is getting different numbers, can you please share for comparison? Thanks!

EmenGeeRoxx...the prices are for rooms only. Flights are separate.

I think those seem to be pretty good prices for now, who knows what will happen in the future but I do agree you should probably lock them down. Does that include taxes and transfers? I have a quote from a ta of $3128 for 2 people at the Royal including 2 flights and hotel transfers. The quotes seem in range, but depending on the cost of the flights yours may be better. Maybe I will call Angie.

thanks..
Yay for another May 29th bride!

We did a ceremony in the gazebo, reception on the beach, Mariachi during dinner and a DJ for dancing. The Mariachi were booked through the resort while we booked directly with our DJ, although he is a preferred vendor.

If you have any questions, lemme know!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
