Hi ladies! I've reserved my wedding date (2/5/10) at the Royal in PDC, and am now trying to get an idea for how much this is all going to cost! Can anyone share what your experience has been as far as getting group rates/discounts for rooms and what the price per room ended up being? I realize prices fluctuate depending on the season, but if anyone is planning to or did go in the Jan-April time frame that would help me get an idea!! Thanks!

Michelle - your photo of you and your hubby on the beach is gorgeous! Can you please tell me who you used as your photographer? Did you use a Videographer too? I'm getting married at the Royal on April 23, 2010 and i'm so excited! Hope you had the wedding of your dreams!

Adriana - Thank you! We got Cesar with Funever Photos (through the resort). He was awesome! We chose not to use a videographer and had a friend video the ceremony instead. We plan on making a slide show to music once we get the digital copies of the professional photos from Funever. Best of luck to you and your fiance!

Hi there, I'm in the same boat as you...my date is 10/23/2009 at the Royal and I too am sending out invitations this week. We have an idea of who is/is not attending and they don't seem to be too worried about it. We made a joke on our wedding website about needing passports, tamiflu and face masks...however, we honestly recommend people purchase travel insurance....just in case! Go on and send 'em out!!

Thanks sweetie. We saw a few weddings while in the Dominican, which was...difficult...but...the holiday was much needed, and our wedding day was...magical!

We are going to try to plan a trip to the Royal in the winter...it won't make up for the lost plans...but we have a credit...and we deserve "another" honeymoon!

For those Ladies who have had their wedding reception on the beach, is it a hard stop at 11pm? or will they let you party on until later? I want to know how strict they are with the time when the reception ends.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
