I would focus on making sure there really is a minister but otherwise everything will get worked out.

Now, just be excited! You leave in 5 days and we fully expect a report as soon as you return! wink.gif
Thanks Stephanie! I really hope everything gets straightened out. I am counting down to Margaritas on the beach!

But...I'm just trying to focus on the Mexican holiday I will get out of it...and marrying the man of my dreams....even if I end up doing that in the lobby bar! cheesy.gif
I know....it is so frustrating, I hope everything works out for you too! You are right...as long as the actually ceremony happens I will be happy. I just hope she gets the minister situation straightened out at least. Maybe I can talk her into not charging me for the Chuppa....but we'll see. She doesn't seem to want to "negotiate" at this point. I really don't want to fork out another $450 for 20 min. For an all inclusive resort, and the amount of money everyone is spending at the hotel already......you think there would be more included instead of all these extra fees!

I've also contacted MAC cosmetics and they have a store on 5th avenue. I'm debating booking an appointment there instead....
Hi can you post that information, I can't find it on the MAC site? My fiancee uses MAC all the time and she gets a discount. Thanks.

hello!

For those of you who have gotten married at the Royal and said that there are a lot of things you can figure out when you arrive to the hotel. What exactly is that? Curious to learn what I can putoff until then.

I also spoke to the WC Michel who told me the lighted dancefloor is not standard and it depends on the supplier, and they are trying that all the brides can get it but unfortunately it doesn´t depends on them. Sometimes they have it available that is why some brides had had this service. Interesting....

Thanks!

Adriana

Hey Brides,

I wanted to post a few pics of the "standard" ceremony and reception set up. We found everything to be perfect and elegant. I'm not sure which dancefloor is included with the standard package. But, we received the cool light-up floor with our standard package. Also, here's what we realized: the staff at the Royal works very hard. They give extreme attention to detail. Be nice to them. They will take care of you! I'm sure some brides treat them badly and are rude. (We all know the stresses of wedding planning.) But, I think that if you are kind, you are more likely to get what you want. The WCs know about this website. I'm not sure if they read it... But, trust that they will make your day come together beautifully. When, I think of the time that I spent stressing and (I hate to admit it) crying over the smallest things, I get so mad at myself. I can't get that time back! ENJOY this time. And, soak up every second in PDC. Breathe it in, and enjoy yourself. It is paradise. Ok, I'll get off my soapbox. I'm so excited for y'all! I wish I were doing it again!

What is everyone doing for a rehearsal dinner? I don't understand why the hotel can't make a group reservation at one of their restaurants for our party since we are paying to be be able to eat at their all-inclusive restaurants. I would have liked to do this rather than have to spend more money on an outside restaurant or a private event.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
