The basic Chuppa/Beach set up they have is still nice. It looks like a white metal arch, with one floral arrangement. The Gazebo is also free to use, you only pay additional for "extra" decorations...

Sorry I don't have the photos here (I can't access my photobucket) but will post some later if you'd like.

Paying extra for anything these days, is seeming less and less necessary to me! I think the backdrop of the Caribbean is going to be so beautiful...I am feeling less urgent to change that!

There are a few in our group also, with concerns. We are going to promote activities near or on the resort property, and just emphasize using common sense and caution in less familiar areas. It's all you can do. There really aren't many reasons you'd WANT to leave the Royal property anyway...so...we're just going to boast that! It's a hotel you relax at, heck you're paying for it, so...enjoy it!

Good luck with the rest of your planning and...wow...one more month!!!! How exciting!

Thanks Shay!! That would be great! I asked about switching to the Gazebo, but it was already booked sad.gif

I am totally with you on the paying extra thing. You would think with all the money we are already spending with them, they could throw in a few things!

I'll post some pictures later with what I've been up to!

Thanks again!

Brooke

So add on $100 for an outside vendor and that's still a HUGE difference. Can I book on my own with Doremixx? Why the disparityhuh.gif??
I'd like an answer to this as well. My WC - Paty - booked a DJ for me but didn't tell me who, just that it was $1000. I just asked who the DJ was and she informed me it was Doremixx. The disparity doesn't make sense.

ETA: Has anyone else booked Doremixx? Curious how they compare (service wise) to Mannia.

Thanks Steph. Believe me it didn't look like that a few months ago! And it looks like I may be able to use my prize for my wedding :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
