Aww...thanks V...all of you!

I've been working hard...and it IS paying off...I still have some work to do...but I'm feeling like I'll be able to pull it off now!

cheesy.gif Veil #2 it is.

Yesterday I waivered, and was going to pick the first one, the longer, plainer one (and maybe embellish it a bit on my own)...but...the 2nd veil really does go well with the dress...and...that's that!

I just have to make the decision.

Thank you all again.! Love ya!

We are probably getting married here beforehand because of all the hassle, but from what I have heard you should be able to get it done for cheaper and in different places. I saw on the Iberostar website (when I was still looking for a resort) that they suggested looking in the yellow pages for a translator and then calling your Secretary of State's office to get the aposilled done... I still have the PDF from that resort if you want to look at it PM me your mail address. It had a website for further instructions...

Hey Steph

I agree it would be much easier and that was originally our plan as well. The problem for us is that our parents live in 3 different states and we live in another and they want to be present for the legal aspect. Its frustrating to me because I think we should save the hassle do it here in LA, hop on a plane and do the ceremony with everyone in Mexico....I just seem to be the only one that feels that way sad.gif Our compromise is to do it legal in the day and then have our ceremony a few hours later with our friend leading it in order to make changes.

I will look into your suggestions! Thanks and sorry for such the detailed explanation may be more than you cared to know :)

Hello to all of you Royal Brides!!

Wow - I have just spent the last week reading through this WHOLE thread....tonight alone was probably 4 hours! I feel like I am very updated on everything. Here's a bit about me... Got engaged in November - at Disney World :) and have been slowly trying to research a good place to have the wedding. FI is the one who really wanted the DW and I am completly happy with that. I've pretty much decided that we will be going to the Royal for our wedding. I love it! I was looking at some other places that are a bit less expensive with the wedding package but once I saw pics from here, I couldn't stop thinking about it. And love that we can do the reception on the beach, as some of the places only letting us do it in a restaurant wasn't very appealing to me.

So - we've picked our date - December 2, 09 and I hope it's available because I've already sent out my Save the Dates smile72.gif i really wanted to get an idea of how many people were going to come...as if there were a lot, i was thinking I might not be able to afford the Royal. But like I said...I really really want it! :)

So...still waiting for the RSVP's to come back to my wedding website (free, but feel free to check it out - Welcome To Our Wedding Website | Welcome | TroyandJackie )

I'm looking forward to chatting with you all now. i've been waiting to actually write anything until I got to the end. lol. For now I must go to bed!! phew. So glad I made it through!!

Jackie

I don't know how to PM on this site yet! LOL but could you send me the info you got from the Royal? I'm getting married June 5th and I haven't really heard anything from the wedding coordinator yet! I have confirmation on our date and all our reservations are set, but I'm starting to wonder about all the extras! I'm a cake designer, so I'm thinking about bringing some stuff down to snaz it up, but would love to see what I'm working with first.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
