ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone...

I was just wondering if some of you could give me any indication as to how communication is going with the resort?!

I've received one email from Micaela (I hadn't even emailed her)!, and I've emailed her back with the Booking Form completed. I have had no further contact with them (it's been a week), and was just wondering...is this normal? How often should I email them back...because we are wanting to book our package now, but our travel agent says to wait until we know that our days are approved by the resort. I know they don't "confirm" things in advance, but surely they must give some kind of indication that the days you've requested are all booked up, or available right?!

Anyways...I'm just ansy, so if anyone has some words with a calming effect!, I'd greatly appreciate it.

It seems like this one little hurdle will clear up so much anxiety I have!

Hey Shannon (I'm Shannon too!)

Grr...frustrating!! Well, I received an email today, but now it appears that, even though I have tried to consistently include all of my emails that I have sent in a "thread"...Micaela has sent me an email with only my latest email attached to it, and she didn't answer any of the questions I included in my other emails to her (I've emailed three times to her, the last time being a week ago)...

Anyways...I'll keep you posted here, and vice versa! :D Good luck Shannon!

Yeah that happened to me to! hahaha...oh well. I think its fine though i just keep emailing her once in a while with random questions so she doesn't forget about me!! heehee...Her Main question though that she keeps asking me is whether we are having a civil or religious ceremony. All we know is that we are getting Legally married in the US - just to keep the paperwork simple. But that's all she seems to care about...

Ok, so I did hear back from Micaela today regarding my pricing question. She said the Royal would honor pricing agreed to previously when I commited with the resort and Paty. The pricing I received in December '07 will stand for my November '08 wedding - phew. Without a contract, it's a scary world! It did take her a week to get back to me so my only advice to the other brides is be patient and maybe follow-up after a week has gone and you haven't heard anything?

Yes, we have picked May 11, 2009 @ 5PM!!!

How long are you staying? We're hoping to arrive May 6th and leave May 13th. That would be awesome to meet a fellow worrier!!!

I asked if there was anything further she needed from me also, and the only thing she asked was..."Religious or Civil Ceremony"?!

haha. We're doing the religious/symbolic wedding also, as we'll make it legal the week before we leave!

That is soooo great! We'll have to make date...like...meet me at the "insert something other than "bike racks" here"!

As time draws nearer, we'll have to touch base. I'd love to meet up with you! Have a margarita or two...or three!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
