I'd look into the gazebo - it's right by the beach, witha  great view of the beach, but much more private. We are doing our reception on the beach, but it doesnt start until 5:30, and in my experience, the beach winds down quite a bit by then, compared to earlier in the day. Might be a good compromise for you guys?

I was thinking the gazebo would be a great option, however we are expecting 100 guests and my wedding planner informed me that with a party that size the only option for a ceremony location is the beach.  Our ceremony would take place at 4pm and I am hoping that things will be dying down on the beach by then.  Also my wedding planner informed me that they will have personnel from the hotel on the beach to try and insure that people are not walking by during the ceremony, however since its a public beach I doubt this is really achievable.  I think we will just have to wing it and see what happens! For those of you that got married on the beach did you find that it was just completely too chaotic and crowded or did the hotel do a decent job of securing the ceremony site to the best of their ability?

Hi Ladies,

I'm new to this forum and I am getting married next summer- July 13th, 2013 at the Royal Playa Del Carmen. I am just starting my planning process and have SO many questions. I would love to view some of the wedding photos from previous weddings but when I click on the "images" it states I have "insufficient privileges". What do I need to do in order to view photos?

Thanks

Laurie

It seems that past brides have been successful with this according to the reviews on here! I believe it is included in many of the wedding packages as well.  It is worth asking for!

Cannrein I was told the same thing the problem was my wedding was right in the middle of summer and the resort was %100 booked so there were no oceanfront rooms to upgrade us too! The did however offer us the Presidental Suite for 3 night for $430.00

Now, I am not sure if they really didnt have any oceanfront rooms or they just told us that to get us to upgrade to the Pres Suite.. Although my TA did tell us that the resort was at full capacity when we left.  Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
