ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

What a super cute idea! I did a boudoir shoot and made a book for my DF for one of his wedding day gifts.

I am really excited about my soon to be hubby's wedding gift! I had a boudoir shoot that came out awesome, and I took one of the pictures and had it made into a 6 piece puzzle. It just arrived today, and it's amazing! I used a body shot that doesn't include my face, so it's going to be a total mystery for him when he's putting it together! I'm going to give him one piece a day leading up to the wedding. I think that even when he finishes the puzzle, he's not going to fully understand what it means until he gets the book... I can't wait for him to see!

deniden, I actually was just looking at a thread about tipping. I saw that some people tipped everyone, from the wedding coordinator to the photographer. I personally don't think all that is necessary. I know I'll be tipping out the servers. But as for the photographers, wedding coordinators, I don't feel that's necessary. How exciting that you're leaving on monday! I can't wait to see pictures!

Quick question - do you guys plan on tipping? If so, who do you plan on tipping and how much?

Thanks!

Denielle

We tipped the romance concierge (she did sooo much for us) the dj, the photographer, the wedding coordinator,  and gave the head server money to share with everyone.  Think that is it.

I was just assigned Lili Levet as my onsite coordinator. Anyone else have her?  Let me know your thoughts. For the person who asked about Claudy, I had her before she went on maturnity leave.  I felt like it took her a long time to respond (although that's common as you'll read).  Also, at first I was really anxious and didn't know how any of it would work.  I was constantly checking this thread and my emails.  I've definitely calmed down over the months.  Ana's been my wedding specialist for the past couple months.  She responds fairly quickly, but sometimes there's a lag.  But it doesn't bother me much anymore :)

Less than 1 month!! I can't believe it.

Hmmm ok My favors were def more than $300 dollars. I will have them in 3 separate bags though, hopefully I can have different people carry them through customs and it won't be a problem ?

I taped receipts to each of my different items with a message in spanish that said "items for a wedding" and it was fine :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
